Recently, the Daqiao Street Comprehensive Social Work Station, the Hejian Road Branch of the Bridge Home Good Neighbor Center of Daqiao Street, and the Guanghang Neighborhood Committee jointly planned a unique "Creative Life - Handmade Pencil Case Making" activity.
Early in the morning on the day of the event, the activity room of the Guanghang Neighborhood Committee was crowded and lively. The members of the self-made sewing team came to the scene early and were ready to show their skills. Zhu Baocui, a special training teacher invited to the event, introduced in detail the method of making pencil cases and the significance of this love activity.
Under the careful guidance of Mr. Zhu, the residents picked up the materials and began to make pencil cases, exchanging production experiences with each other and sharing production skills, and the scene was filled with a warm and harmonious atmosphere. Discarded cloth is threaded through a pair of dexterous hand flying needles and turned into delicate pencil cases. Even some beginners in handmade products have successfully completed their own works with everyone's encouragement and help.
The successful holding of this event not only reflects the care and support of the Qiaojia Community Good Neighbor Center and the Guanghang Neighborhood Committee for the cultural life of the community residents, but also demonstrates the selfless dedication of the community residents.
The organizer of the event said that the finished products of this year's handmade pencil case series courses will be donated to the students of Hope Primary School by the Daqiao Street Comprehensive Social Work Station and the Daqiao Community Public Welfare Foundation as love materials. In the future, the Good Neighbor Center and the neighborhood committee will continue to work together to carry out more caring and creative handicraft activities to attract more people to join the ranks of spreading love.
