As a senior agronomist of Gaotang County Agriculture and Rural Bureau, Du Lizhi has been rooted in the grassroots for 38 years, "either in the farmland, or on the way to the farmland", going to the countryside more than 200 times a year, running more than 10 kilometers a day, and running through more than 600 administrative villages in the county to help farmers solve various problems in crop planting. "A body of soil, a body of mud, and a body of insects", because she has to wash her clothes every day, her clothes tear quickly, and she has to wear out two pairs of cloth shoes every year. In the early years, she went to the countryside on a bicycle or motorcycle, and broke down 3 bicycles and 2 motorcycles. In order to make it easier for growers to ask questions, her mobile phone is turned on 24 hours a day, and she receives more than 20 calls a day when she is busy. Since her work, she has written more than 70 agricultural technology diaries every day, with a total of more than 4 million words. These diaries summarized the experience of the prevention and control of a variety of crop diseases, and all kinds of crop diseases could be "seated in the right place" to find solutions, and Du Lizhi also became the agricultural "know-it-all" in the hearts of the people.
In 2018, Gaotang County established the "Du Lizhi Party Representative Studio", and today, more than 1,000 members of the "Du Lizhi Party Representative Studio" in the county are active in the grassroots frontline, disseminating agricultural technology, collecting public sentiment and public opinion, and opening up the "last mile" of agricultural technology services. Since its establishment, the studio has promoted more than 70 new agricultural technologies, introduced more than 40 new crop varieties, guided the production of 300,000 mu of agricultural bases, and provided technical and talent support for 152 agricultural socialized service organizations. In the past few decades, Du Lizhi and the agricultural science and technology service team have sent technology to convey the party's voice through "service + preaching", insisted on publicizing policies on the front line and serving the masses on the front line, used technology to guard the people's "rice bags" and "vegetable baskets", and built a "heart-to-heart bridge" between the party and the masses, contributing to the comprehensive promotion of rural revitalization.
