Marcos wants to threaten China with the US-Philippine Joint Defense Treaty!
Marcos threw out the US-Philippines Joint Defense Treaty when asked by reporters this time, and not long ago, the U.S. Indo-Pacific Commander-in-Chief said in public that the trigger condition for the U.S.-Philippines Joint Defense Treaty is that the Philippine side has naval and maritime law enforcement personnel lose their lives.
Marcos is now also talking about this treaty, saying that in the event of Philippine casualties, the Philippines should use the relevant content of the treaty to seek help from the United States.
It is not difficult to see from Marcos's words that this is a provocation and threat to China by him with the so-called Joint Defense Treaty, but from China's point of view, this threat of Marcos is full of hypocrisy.
