As one of the most popular fruit varieties in recent years, the listing price of Sunshine Rose this year shocked many farmers. According to the growers of sunshine roses in Yunnan Province, the purchase price of fine fruits in the same period last year was 55 yuan/jin, and this year it has fallen to about 25 yuan/jin, a plunge of 50%.
Overall, in the early days of the Sunshine Rose market this year, in the wholesale market, the price of Sunshine Rose this year showed the characteristics of polarization. Listed in April, why is it so early?
Sunshine Rose used to be the "Hermes of grapes", the grapes are heavy, the fruit is compact, and the high price of several hundred yuan a pound often appeared in China at the beginning. After seeing the broad planting prospects of this variety, many fruit practitioners introduced it from Japan to the mainland, and around 2015, the mainland began to grow on a large scale, and the new and old grape producing areas began to replace with Sunshine Rose. Before the beginning of localization, there was a high price of nearly 100 yuan/catty, but with the expansion of the planting area, the price of sunshine roses has gradually fallen.
First of all, in terms of production area, the Sunshine Rose grape is widely distributed on the mainland.

From the perspective of listing time, the earliest places to be listed are in Yunnan and Hainan. Due to the unique climatic advantages, the early-maturing Sunshine Rose grapes can be sold in mid-April every year.
In Hunan, Hubei, Shandong, Hebei, Shaanxi and other places, Sunshine Rose can only be listed in large quantities after July. According to the one-acre field platform, the hottest supply of sunshine roses is from mid-July to October.

The price reduction of Sunshine Rose is already an irreversible trend. Some growers have scaled back their Sunshine Rose acreage and are experimenting with new varieties with smaller acreage, such as Queen Nina.
This is mainly due to the fact that Sunshine Rose grapes are high-cost products, and many links from combing, combing, bagging, picking, etc., require a lot of labor. If the price falls after the market, excluding labor, materials and other costs, the planting income will be greatly reduced.
From the perspective of market demand, Sunshine Rose still has a certain market foundation. Despite price fluctuations, its unique appearance and rich nutritional value are still favored by many consumers. Especially on some e-commerce platforms, the price of high-quality sunshine roses with a single fruit weight of 12~15g is still high, showing that the demand for high-quality sunshine roses in the high-end market still exists.
