"With the vigorous development of video media platforms, more and more people record and share their lives through videos, and we know in our daily work that elderly friends in the jurisdiction also want to make beautiful short videos by themselves, but they don't know how to better record and edit videos. The person in charge of the Shatin Community Party and Mass Service Center said. In order to help the elderly in the community cross the digital divide and make a "conspicuous package" for playing with videos, the Shatin Community Party and Mass Service Center and the Shatin Community New Era Civilization Practice Station jointly launched the "Smart Helping the Elderly, Enjoy Life" smartphone learning interest class for the elderly, and invited professional short video production teachers to teach short video shooting and editing for the elderly friends in the jurisdiction.
At the teaching site, the teacher took the "Jianying" software as an example, starting from teaching everyone how to install the software, so that the elderly could learn the functions and preliminary knowledge of "Jianying", explain in detail how to import materials, edit, set up transitions, add audio and text and other basic operations, and demonstrate the use of each tool to help the elderly friends to "understand, learn, and use". For learning new things, the elderly friends showed a strong interest, one by one holding smart phones, listening and operating, under the patient guidance of teachers and volunteers, gradually familiar with the software functions, learn simple video operations, the whole classroom is filled with a strong learning atmosphere, full of laughter.
The interest class lasted for six days, and a total of 6 courses were carried out, and through systematic learning, many elderly people changed from novices to video editing experts. At the closing ceremony, the social worker issued a certificate of completion to the students of the interest class, and displayed everyone's video production results, and each work attracted praise and cheers from the scene.
