At present, it is the peak season of harvesting bamboo shoots, Shanshu Township, Zhenxiong County, is full of lush bamboo forests, and the local villagers carry baskets on their backs, carry water and dry food, shuttle through the forest, and seize the season to "beat bamboo shoots".
Peng Huafei, a villager in Waqiao Village, Shanshu Township, is a local veteran bamboo shoot farmer with rich experience in bamboo shoots, and in 2023, just harvesting bamboo shoots will generate more than 80,000 yuan for him. When the reporter met him, he was busy peeling bamboo shoots. "If you shoot bamboo shoots, you have to go out at six or seven o'clock in the morning, and it's not a problem to beat 100 catties a day. Peng Huafei said, "In the rainy season near the valley, the climate is humid, which is more suitable for the growth of bamboo shoots, and when the time comes, you can beat five or six hundred catties of bamboo shoots a day." ”
In order to facilitate the villagers to sell fresh bamboo shoots in a timely manner, the 10,000 acres of continuous bamboo industry base in Shanshu Township signed a long-term cooperation agreement with Zhenxiong County Zhongxing Agricultural Development Co., Ltd.
Wang Xianzhong, head of Zhongxing Agriculture, said: "We set up a bamboo shoot purchase point at intervals, and there are 63 such purchase points, with an average daily harvest of about 120 tons. ”
At around five o'clock in the afternoon every day, villagers come out of the mountain one after another with a full load of neat bamboo shoots, they choose the nearest purchase point, peel and sort the bamboo shoots on the spot and sell them, and then put their wages in their pockets and take them home on the same day.
Relying on the mountains to eat the mountains, the income of bamboo shoots has become an indispensable income for bamboo shoot farmers, and it is also a considerable income. In 2023, the per capita income of bamboo shoots in Shanshu Township will reach more than 9,000 yuan.
Up to now, the bamboo industry base in Zhenxiong County has reached 1.045 million mu, and 420,000 mu has been put into production, including more than 110,000 mu of bamboo. It is estimated that the output of bamboo shoots will reach 22,000 tons this year, with an output value of more than 500 million, driving the villagers to increase their income and become rich at their doorsteps.
