At 11 a.m. on April 12, Xia, the person in charge of the operation of a brand of shared electric vehicles, came to the Hongcheng Police Station of the Jianli Public Security Bureau to report that the plastic QR codes of 8 shared electric vehicles parked at a certain intersection were damaged, resulting in the unusability of the vehicles.
After receiving the police, the Hongcheng Police Station immediately launched an investigation. By obtaining video data and quickly finding out the suspect's identity and contact information, on April 13, the police handling the case summoned Guo to the police station for investigation in accordance with the law.
Upon inquiry, Guo confessed to his illegal act of deliberately damaging the QR code of a shared electric vehicle. According to his confession, he was a driver, and when he left the car at 9 a.m. that day and passed near the scene of the crime, he was angry when he saw the shared electric vehicles placed on the side of the road, and he felt that the appearance of these cars had affected his business and income. Seeing that there was no one around, Guo destroyed the QR code installed on the front and back of the shared electric vehicle.
For intentionally destroying public and private property, Guo has been administratively detained by the public security organs in accordance with the law.
