In the lecture, Academician Zou Cai focused on the development status and future trend of the new energy industry, including wind energy, solar energy, geothermal energy, electricity and hydrogen energy, under the mainland's "double carbon" goal, and deeply analyzed the transformation from a "resource-led" energy system dominated by fossil energy and supplemented by new energy to a new energy system dominated by "technology", which is the only way for China to achieve the goal of "energy independence" and carbon neutrality.
