A vortex is a vortex formed by the convergence of cold and warm air currents, acting like a sink that brings a steady stream of rain wherever it goes. In the process of this vortex slowly moving eastward, it almost rained all day in Shencheng today. Rainfall statistics in the past 24 hours show that more than half of the city has reached the level of heavy rain, and Baoshan and Pudong have reached the level of heavy rain. This precipitation is not expected to stop until around midnight.
Since April, Xujiahui Station has had 11 rainy days, which is also the most rainy days in the same period (April 1-17) in the past 50 years!
The rain combined with the weak cold air also caused the temperature to drop to a recent low, and the highest temperature at Xujiahui Station in the urban area during the day was only 15.7 degrees, which suddenly became cold.
