IT Home reported on April 17 that TikTok's picture-sharing platform TikTok Notes has recently been launched in some countries and regions, and it is regarded as a new competitor of Instagram, which is also a picture-sharing platform. According to foreign media Neowin, the app has been launched on Google Play and Apple's App Store in Canada, and has not yet been launched in the United States. Presumably, the app is currently in beta before its global rollout.
The logic of TikTok Notes is similar to that of IG, which is "share your photos with the world". According to the official introduction, TikTok Notes is a lifestyle platform that provides informative graphic content about people's lives, where you can see people sharing their travel tips, daily recipes, and more.
Once a user already has a TikTok account, they can log in to TikTok Notes with the same account. The app has a grid view that allows users to view multiple posts, and the homepage posts are displayed in much the same way as the domestic app Xiaohongshu.
As previously reported by IT House, as early as last month, clues appeared in TikTok Notes - the code found in the TikTok APK file suggests that the company has been working on launching a photo-sharing app called TikTok Photos. Of course, now it has been confirmed that it has been renamed to TikTok Notes.
