When I retired at the age of 63, I didn't choose to spend the rest of my life alone, but found a partner, and we had three common agreements.
The first agreement is mutual respect. We've all been through the ups and downs of life and learned how important it is to respect people. Whether we are happy or sad, we will treat each other with respect and understanding, and will not easily say words that hurt each other. In our relationship, respect is the most basic bottom line and the cornerstone of our mutual trust.
The second convention is mutual support. Although we have retired, life has not stopped there. We still have our own dreams and pursuits, and we need each other's support and encouragement. Whether it is health care or career support, we will silently support each other behind each other and work hard for each other's dreams. With each other's support, our lives become more fulfilling and meaningful.
The third convention is to grow together. Although we are past the age of six, we still believe that life is always growing and progressing. We are willing to learn together, explore unknown areas together, and constantly enrich our life experience. In each other's company, we can better understand the world, understand ourselves more deeply, and make each other's lives more colorful.
Now, we're doing well. Although the years have left traces on our faces, our hearts are still young, full of love for life and anticipation for the future. In each other's company, we have spent many wonderful times and harvested many precious memories. We know that no matter what difficulties and challenges we will encounter in the future, as long as we are with each other, we will be able to face them bravely and meet every challenge in life.
Retirement at the age of 63 may seem lonely and boring in the eyes of others, but in my opinion, it is happy and fulfilling. Because I have a partner, we respect each other, support each other, grow together, and have a good life.
