In this video, Yu Chengdong, Executive Director of Huawei and CEO of Device BG, announced that Huawei's P series has been officially upgraded to "Huawei Pura", which will start again with a new attitude, and the original P70 will be the first product of the new series.

It is understood that Huawei's P series has a history of 12 years, and the first model is Ascend P1. Originally part of the Ascend brand, it focuses on the sub-flagship level with a focus on imaging performance.

Over time, Huawei's various series of products have evolved: the D series has evolved into the Mate series, the P series has evolved into a younger flagship focusing on imaging, and the G series has become the Nova series in pursuit of fashion. Now, the P-Series has been renamed the Pura Series and continues to strengthen its focus on imaging technology.

According to the intellectual property information of the enterprise, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. has applied for the registration of a number of "Pura" and "HUAWEI Pura" trademarks, which are internationally classified as scientific instruments, and the above trademarks were first applied for in May 2019, and two trademarks have been successfully registered.

In addition, people familiar with the matter told reporters that the Huawei Pura 70 will debut, or adopt a triangular camera island design.

In the first product concept video released by Huawei terminals, the triangular shape is particularly prominent, which confirms that the Huawei Pura 70 series may adopt a new triangular camera island design shape.

At present, mobile phone camera islands generally adopt the traditional square and circle shape, and if the Pura 70 series adopts a triangular design, it will be a major disruption and innovation in the industry.

As early as the end of last year, at the 2023 Huawei Pollen Annual Conference, Yu Chengdong revealed that very leading, innovative, and disruptive products will be launched next year.
