Nearly a month after his wife Kate publicly announced that she was ill, Charles III's eldest son, William, is resuming his official activities. Kensington Palace has announced that William will attend a visit to Surrey on April 18, the day after his children Prince George, Charlotte and Prince Louise end their midterm holidays.
According to official sources, Prince William will visit the Surrey region and west London with the aim of highlighting the impact of the work carried out in the region on the community and the environment.
Charles's eldest son will visit the Surplus Food Redistribution Charity, where he will see surplus food from all over the local being shipped, sorted and repackaged for delivery to small community organisations.
This will be Prince William's first official job since March 22. He had previously retired for a few weeks with Kate Middleton and her family at their Norfolk residence, where they enjoyed peace and complete time away from the spotlight.

At the moment, no new details have emerged about Kate's condition, nor has it been revealed what type of illness she suffers from. It is unclear when she will be able to return to the public eye.
Charles III, who was also ill, combined some of his institutional activities with his treatment, yet the King of Wales has completely withdrawn from public life, and there is speculation that we will not see the Princess of Wales until at least the summer or more later.
Although Kate can't show up, William really has to get to work, because he is the heir to the throne and, most importantly, Charles is in a delicate situation at this stage.
After a few weeks of holiday for the children, William is fulfilling his previous official promise at Kensington Palace, and his activities are expected to increase in the coming days.
