On May 7, the high-profile China Guardian 2024 Spring Auction will reopen. For the first time in this season's Spring Auctions, the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Department will enter into a special collaboration with 600 Minutes Collection Consulting, the first conceptual gallery in China based on creativity and inspiration, to present the best works of art jointly selected by both parties, presenting a visual feast for collectors and lovers of Chinese and Western modern and contemporary art.
Over the years, China Guardian has adhered to the working logic of academic deduction of the market, and is committed to seeking the internal link between the development of art history and the value of local art, and has made great achievements in the promotion of modern and contemporary art through continuous innovation and change. In recent years, the department has made great efforts to bring forth the new, and has successively planned special auctions that have led the industry change, such as "'85 New Wave Art 30th Anniversary Special Exhibition", "5+5+5: Special Topic of Chinese Contemporary Art", and "Wuwen Xidong 1900-2000: Special Special Exhibition of Chinese Contemporary Art", which have aroused enthusiastic feedback and provided a more diversified entry angle for the secondary market.
The "A20 Contemporary Art Special Topic" jointly launched by China Guardian and 600 Minutes Collection Consulting is another creative curation, aiming to discuss the trends, trends and changes of contemporary art in the future based on the current complex and intertwined world pattern, geographical relations, economic situation and cultural environment, and at the same time, it is also an exchange and exploration of the phenomenon of new collectors born in the 80s and 90s who have been entering the field of contemporary art collection in recent years. The ultra-luxurious lineup includes 20 outstanding Chinese and Western artists: from the 20th century expressionist master George Louau, to the art stalwart Gunther Fogg, Miriam Kahn, Wu Shanzhuan, Wang Yin, to the young and middle-aged generation of Ouyang Chun, Liu Xiaohui, Wang Guangle, Tang Yongxiang, Yan Bing, Issy Wood, etc., all have important works on display.
