On April 16, the reporter learned from the relatives of the injured pregnant woman Ms. Zhang that Ms. Zhang is still in the intensive care unit and is not completely out of danger, while the fetus in the womb is unfortunately not saved.
According to Ms. Zhang's relative, Mr. Zhu, Ms. Zhang opened a store near Nanping, and when the incident occurred, she was on her way to work in the store, but when she took the escalator at the No. 2 entrance and exit of Nanping Station of Light Rail Line 3, she was unfortunately hit by multiple falling wall tiles and collapsed on the escalator, bleeding profusely.
After the incident, the staff of Nanping Station of Line 3 rushed to the scene, did a simple hemostatic treatment for Ms. Zhang, and dialed 120 to send her to the hospital for treatment.
Mr. Zhu told reporters that Ms. Zhang was 7 months pregnant, and the expected date of delivery was in early July.
Ms. Zhang was taken to the Chongqing Emergency Center for resuscitation.
"Yesterday, the doctor had already issued two critical illness notices, and now she is still in the intensive care unit and is not out of danger, and the situation is not optimistic. Mr. Zhu said that the doctor had told the family that nearly 20,000 milliliters of blood had been transfused since entering the hospital, and that the hospital's blood bank was in an emergency, and many relatives at the scene had also donated blood.
It is reported that Ms. Zhang is a native of Gansu and currently lives and works in Chongqing. After the incident, her father, relatives and friends also rushed to the hospital from Gansu, and the family members were very worried about Ms. Zhang's condition, and their only appeal was to "use all means to get people back".
It is understood that at present, Ms. Zhang's treatment expenses are paid in advance by Chongqing Rail Group. "Now it's about tens of thousands of dollars, no matter who is responsible in the end, people are the most important now. Outside the intensive care unit of the Chongqing Emergency Center, the staff of Chongqing Rail Group told Ms. Zhang's family.
