Hu was born in Vietnam to a family of teachers and barely survived. But because of his education, he was determined from an early age to drive out the French invaders and restore a beautiful home to the Vietnamese. In his early years, in order to have a more thorough understanding of the Western world, he once traveled to Western countries in the form of part-time work and travel, and had a clear understanding of modern Western countries.
After that, he firmly threw himself into the embrace of communism and began to fight for Vietnam's democratic independence. In the late 20s and early 30s of the last century, he came to China, got in touch with our party, began to spread Marxist-Leninist ideas to his country, and formed the Communist Party of Vietnam.
In 1941, Hu returned to China as soon as the situation stabilized in Indochina and began to mobilize the communist forces in the country to promote a national uprising. In 1945, the Viet Cong led by Hu won a revolutionary victory and established the Republic of Vietnam. As the forerunner of modern democracy in Vietnam, Hu deservedly became the president of the republic.
After that, he led the Vietnamese people in a resolute struggle against the French invaders and the South Vietnamese government supported by the American Empire, defending the rights of the Vietnamese people.
In the process, China, which is also socialist, has given tremendous assistance to Vietnam. Hu was deeply pleased with this, and in the later years of his life, he always said: "Vietnam's past victories in the anti-imperialist struggle and socialist construction could not have been separated from the 700 million Chinese people." They are the strongest backing in Vietnam!"
As the supreme leader of Vietnam, he also has a deep friendship with the leaders of the mainland. There is a very enviable revolutionary friendship between him and Premier Zhou. Even as the leader of the country, he is very busy with work on weekdays, but Premier Zhou will personally select medicines and treatment plans for Hu, who is in a state of poor health, and personally send a special plane to Hu in front of him.
In the later years of his life, the Chinese sent more than a dozen medical teams to Vietnam, hoping to prolong Hu's life as much as possible. Before his death, Chinese doctors were involved in the rescue.
In both public and private, such revolutionary friendship is very moving. At the time of Hu's lifetime, China and Vietnam were also close to each other as brothers, and no one would have thought that the two countries would have a conflict in the future.
On September 1, 1969, after returning to China, Hu became seriously ill. After a day of trying, the Sino-Vietnamese joint medical team still failed to restore his vital signs. Under the instructions of Vietnam's central leadership, the joint medical team stopped the rescue and pronounced Ho Chi Minh's death.
In order to avoid overlapping the anniversary of Ho Chi Minh's death with the National Day, Hu's death date was changed to September 3 at the direction of Le Duan, the first secretary of the Workers' Party of Vietnam. It's not a small change, but it's a good idea to see something.
In the years leading up to Hu's death, he wrote a will of about 2,000 words. The will took four years and was amended several times before it was completed in May of the year of his death.

What exactly is the content of the will, and has it really been tampered with by someone else?

Ho Chi Minh, as a pure communist and a far-sighted communist fighter, had long judged the direction of Vietnam's development. The will he left behind was mainly explained in detail on the issues of domestic construction, the direction of national development, the development of the international communist movement, and his own remains.
One of the most suspicious of these is Hu's last words on the development of the communist movement in the international arena. Before Hu's death, the two major socialist countries, China and the Soviet Union, began to diverge step by step because of their different pursuits of national interests. As an ally of the Soviet Union and China, two great powers, Vietnam was in a very awkward position.
Although he was not deeply involved in this matter, Hu had a clear judgment in his heart. Judging from his various pro-China behaviors in his later years and the relevant materials he left to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam in his later years, he is personally more pro-China. This was later confirmed by the Vietnamese ambassador to China.
However, in the public will, Hu took a middle stage on the contradictions between China and the Soviet Union, and only expressed "concern". Although such a statement is understandable, it is inconsistent with Hu's personality and is very abnormal.
In fact, according to many Vietnamese central leaders, after Hu's death, there was indeed a very strange phenomenon. First of all, as the successor, Li Duan, not only did not make every effort to treat Hu after his life was dying, but also put forward an order to suspend the treatment. After confirming Hu's death, he secretly summoned Hu's personal staff and asked Hu if he had left any last words and instructions before his death.
After confirming that there was none, Le Duan openly proposed at a congress of the Workers' Party of Vietnam held shortly thereafter that Hu's will would need to be revised to some extent in order to deal with the American threat and national unity. A number of party officials were in an uproar, dissatisfied with Le Duan's proposal. But as the first secretary of the Workers' Party, Le Duan has the highest decision-making power, and the changes he mentioned seem harmless. Eventually, the elders of the Workers' Party of Vietnam compromised and agreed to Le Duan's proposal to revise the will.
A few days later, a revised version of Lai Duan's will was published, which became known to the public today.
From the above behavior, it is not difficult to see that after Hu's death, Li Duan was quite resistant to the content of his will. But even after the deletion and modification, this part of the public will was not fully followed by Li Duan.
In particular, the relevant content of "uniting domestic party forces" was left behind by Li Duan. Since he came to power, he has begun to vigorously suppress the pro-China forces in the party and began to support a large number of his own people. Many of the veteran members who followed Hu in the revolution were ostracized by Li Duan and became marginal figures.
Some high-ranking officials of the pro-China faction, such as Wu Yuanjia, left the leading group and their leading posts in important departments after being beaten by Li Duan a few times.
The reason why Le Duan did this was actually because he secretly served the Soviet Union and became an important tool for its anti-China efforts. After Le Duan came to power, Vietnam began to receive a large amount of aid from the Soviet Union, and it developed rapidly in the economic and military fields. The price of this reward is that Vietnam has become more and more hostile to China, seeing China as a great threat to "Greater Vietnam" under its own domination of the Indochina Peninsula.
Such a firm choice to fall to the Soviet Union is obviously contrary to Hu's will. Even if the will has not been tampered with, it is still neutral. What Li Duan did was already a defilement of the will.
In fact, Le Duan's "rebellion" against his mentor was much more than that. On the issue of the disposal of Hu's personal body, Li Duan betrayed again. In his will, Hu made it clear that he hoped that the ashes of Europe and Israel would be scattered across Vietnam's borders. However, after his death, Li Duan insisted on keeping the body and embalming it as a sample for future generations to observe.
Although such a suggestion was indeed in the service of the Vietnamese nation on the surface, he did not want a great leader to be unacceptable to the world. But such a practice against the wishes of the deceased is not a kind of torture for Hu.
All this, it is not difficult for us to see that Le Duan, as the heir of Vietnam, did not completely implement Hu's will, and even violated it in many aspects. However, in such cases, doubts about whether the Will had been tampered with persisted and even intensified since then.

With the extension of Le Duan's rule, anti-Chinese sentiment in Vietnam has become stronger, and even large-scale anti-Chinese massacres have occurred. A group of pro-China officials in Vietnam were chilled, and their hatred for Le Duan became stronger. In 1979, Hoang Van Huan, the former Vietnamese ambassador to China, took advantage of his trip to Germany to see a doctor and secretly transferred to China.
In August 1979, Huang Wenhuan held a press conference after arriving in China, mercilessly exposing Le Duan's plan to start a war against China. In this press conference, Huang Wenhuan also mentioned an equally heavy news - Li Duan tampered with the will.

Although it is an indisputable fact that Le Duan went against the wishes of the revolutionary mentor, everyone also speculated that the will was tampered with. However, when the former member of the Vietnamese Central Committee said this, Chinese and foreign reporters could not help but be shocked.
Huang Wenhuan would say such a thing, of course, it is not groundless, and it is naturally a reason for judgment. As a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of Vietnam, he once asked a group of central leaders to meet with Hu for the last time and listen to his regrets. But this simple request was seriously rejected by Li Duan.
In the process of the will being published, Huang Wenhuan witnessed the relevant information of the will twice. In the later edition, it is obviously different from the version that appeared on the day of Hu's death, which only has Hu's own signature, not Li Duan's signature, and is obviously made later.
Huang Wenhuan suspects that Li Duan has partially tampered with or deleted the original text. And his most favorable evidence is actually the content of the published will. As a comrade-in-arms who had followed Hu's revolution for many years, he was of course very well aware of Hu's attitude and views on many matters. Therefore, when he found out that in the will, Hu had a neutral attitude towards the Sino-Soviet contradictions, he obviously noticed the abnormality. Neither Hu himself nor the mainstream ideology of the Workers' Party of Vietnam at that time could have held such an attitude.
Huang Wenhuan's suspicions are not unreasonable, but because there is no conclusive evidence, his relevant statements are only at the level of doubt. Even if the latter two Le Duan led Vietnam to war against China, which clearly violated Hu's will, it cannot be proved that the will was tampered with.
But in the face of more and more people's doubts, Li Duan obviously panicked in his heart, and finally showed his feet. Upon Huang Wenhuan's arrival in China, Le Duan immediately expelled him from the party, calling Huang a traitor and resolutely opposing all his remarks.
In fact, there is nothing wrong with such behavior, and no one can find fault with it. But 10 years later, when the 20th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh's death was celebrated in Vietnam, everything changed. During this period, the Vietnamese government not only released the true news of Hu's death on September 2, but also released an additional supplement to Hu's will.
Despite these published materials, it is still not convincingly provable that Li Duan tampered with Hu's will. But apparently revealing information that the Le Duan government had concealed from Hu's will. It took 20 years for the real death to be made public by the public, which is staggering.
The method of concealing first and then making it public, no matter how it is explained, has some inexplicable implications. And the supplementary materials to the will, which appeared after 20 years, surprised people all over the world. Why was the supplementary materials of this will not published at the same time, and whether the contents of Hu's will were complete and whether they were completely true? These questions began to appear in the minds of governments and people around the world.
