"Art Rise "Masterpiece" was exhibited in halls D and E of Wuhan Art Museum (Qintai Pavilion), with dozens of Jay Chou's MV/album scenes reproduced in a space of 4,000 square meters. Everywhere I went, the corresponding theme song sounded, as if I really walked into the MV and met Jay Chou in parallel time and space. The exhibition pays special attention to the dialogue between the spatial design and the works, and the audience can immerse themselves in an artistic journey through time and space, across China and the West.

"When it comes to curating, I think it's very similar to when I directed the movie "The Secret That Can't Be Said", and I wanted to arrange an attractive story for everyone to see, hoping to resonate with everyone's hearts. At the opening ceremony, Jay Chou explained his journey as a curator to the audience in Wuhan through video. "The process of selecting artworks for the exhibition is very interesting, in my eyes they are not just a piece of work, but a point of contact for the imagination. ”

"The integrated practice of this exhibition has enriched and diversified the presentation of art, broadened the original scope of art, and narrowed the distance between art and the public. Music, art, and architecture converge into a stunning symphony on the side of the piano platform. Chen Yongjin, director of Wuhan Art Museum, said that he would like to thank the curator Jay Chou for sharing with the audience the works of important artists who have been shining in the history of contemporary art in the world over the years, so that everyone can enjoy the original works of these outstanding paintings like stars.

Chen Yongjin introduced that this exhibition carefully selected 50 works of art by 24 representative artists from different art schools in China and the West, which fully embodies the important curatorial concept of cultural exchanges and mutual learning between China and the West, and enhances people's understanding and cognition of different cultures. His works span a wide range of genres in art history, including expressionism, abstract art, and pop art, from Anselm Kiefer, who is considered one of Germany's most important contemporary artists, to his grand masterpieces of historical torture, as well as street graffiti and consumerism. Under the influence of globalization, Chinese contemporary artists actively seek balance and harmony in the collision between China and the West, and express their unique cultural attributes in different cultural references. "This exhibition not only presents the artistic characteristics of different cultures, but also allows us to see the infinite possibilities of art in the context of globalization. ”

The exhibition hall of Wuhan Station has specially opened up the "Fang Wenshan's meeting room". Jay Chou and Fang Wenshan, the golden partner of music, continue to cooperate in the field of art. Fang Wenshan is inspired by Chinese-style songs and other works to create 24 pieces (groups). The Wuhan station is their first exhibition. "East Wind Breaking" is a steampunk-style mechanical landscape, "Red Dust Inn" is a seal script written in neon lights, and "Chrysanthemum Terrace" is a Western Xia script with a sense of time...... In the eyes of the lyricist, the Chinese style has a more figurative appearance.

The exhibition will run until July 6, 2024.
