According to the CCTV news client, at about 2 o'clock in the morning on April 16, in the "Criminal Detention Case of Conflict between Students and Drunks", the detained students were released on bail pending trial and have now arrived at home.
Previously, some media reported that on the evening of March 31, a girl from Jinan Electronic and Mechanical Engineering School had a verbal altercation with three drunk men when she was picking up takeaway.
A number of insiders revealed that 3 drunk men broke into the school, and a drunk man choked the neck of his male classmate Xiao Chao (pseudonym), and the drunk man fell to the ground after Xiao Chao punched back.
Xiao Chao's father said that at that time, Xiao Chao felt suffocated and fought back with his fist, knocking the man to the ground. The man hit his head on the ground, was diagnosed with brain herniation by the hospital, underwent a craniotomy, and was transferred from the ICU to a general ward.
On April 1, Xiaochao's father received a police detention notice. According to the notice, Xiaochao was criminally detained by the police on suspicion of intentional injury.

Jinan Public Security Response: Raise the level and set up an investigation team
On April 14, CCTV News reporters learned from the Jinan Municipal Public Security Bureau that the public security organs attached great importance to the online rumor that "college students were detained for conflicts with drunks". On April 12, a special case team composed of legal system, criminal investigation and other police departments was set up to be stationed in the Jinan High-tech Zone Public Security Bureau, and the case was upgraded to a higher level, and the Jinan Municipal Procuratorate was invited to intervene in the case to give guidance and supervision.
The relevant person in charge of the Jinan Municipal Public Security Bureau said that the case is currently under further investigation, and the investigation of the case will be announced in due course, and at the same time accept the supervision of the media and the public.
According to CCTV news, on April 15, at the place of the incident, Jinan Electronic and Mechanical Engineering School, two construction workers were busy outside the school wall, and there were multiple barbed wires above the iron fence. The reporter asked when the barbed wire was installed, and the other party replied "Yesterday".
It is understood that the school prohibits students from eating takeout while on campus, but some students will pick up their takeaway through the gap in the fence after ordering takeout. Several fences on the north side of the school's west gate are where students usually pick up takeout, and staff said that three drunk men were also involved in a verbal altercation with students at the school nearby.
