Can I still receive a pension?

According to the "<社会保险法>Several Provisions": If an individual leaves the country to settle down, his personal account shall be retained, and he shall enjoy the corresponding pension insurance benefits in accordance with the provisions of the state.

Among them, those who have lost their nationality of the People's Republic of China may do so at or after they leave the country.

To put it simply, it can be divided into the following two situations:

(1) The first case

If you change your nationality after retirement, you can still enjoy the corresponding pension treatment and receive a monthly pension. However, 2 conditions must be met at the same time:

(1) Participate in basic endowment insurance and pay for 15 years;

(2) Reach the statutory retirement age and have obtained a pension account.

(2) The second case

If you have changed your nationality before retirement, you can apply in writing to terminate the pension insurance relationship, and you will not be able to continue to participate in the pension insurance, which is an early surrender, and the pension you receive can only be part of the personal account, and the social co-ordination part cannot be received.

It can be seen that the change of nationality will not affect the receipt of pension, but whether you can get the part of the overall account mainly depends on whether you meet the conditions for receiving the pension before changing your nationality.
