Nowadays, the root cause of many things in the United States comes from "Sinophobia." The United States is trying to influence the elections in the Solomon Islands in order to counter China's influence in the region.
In April 2022, China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that China and the Solomon Islands had formally signed a framework agreement on security cooperation.
The agreement caught the United States and Australia somewhat off guard, causing them an uproar and making them "fry the pot".
Reuters reported that before China and the Solomon Islands formally signed this security agreement, the United States and Australia issued warnings, and Australia also sent ministerial-level officials to the Solomon Islands to carry out coercion and inducement. After the meeting, the White House issued a statement that said: "If [China] takes steps to establish a de facto permanent military presence, power projection capability or military facility [in the Solomon Islands], the delegation noted that the United States will then express grave concern and respond accordingly." ”

In fact, the U.S. embassy in the Solomon Islands has been closed for 29 years, and senior U.S. officials have not been to the Solomon Islands for decades.
