April 15 is the ninth National Security Education Day in mainland China. In order to popularize national security knowledge, recently, the Yangpu Branch of the Shanghai Municipal State Security Bureau and the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics jointly held a national security knowledge salon.
According to the National Security Law, national security refers to the state of state power, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, the relative absence of danger and internal and external threats to the well-being of the people, sustainable economic and social development and other major interests of the state, and the ability to ensure a sustained state of security.
During the event, the cadres and police officers of Yangpu Branch introduced the deep significance of national security from both international and domestic aspects. In particular, in the context of globalization and informatization, the definition and scope of national security are undergoing profound changes, and the fields involved in national security have expanded to 20 aspects, including politics, military, territory, economy, finance, culture, society, science and technology, network, food, ecology, resources, nuclear, overseas interests, space, deep sea, polar regions, biology, artificial intelligence, and data.
At the same time, illegal activities carried out through the Internet are faster, more extensive, and less costly, so in daily life, whether it is college students or the public, they should pay more attention to the risks and hidden dangers related to national security around them, so as to form a good situation in which the whole society jointly safeguards national security.
During the activities, the students became more aware of the important impact of national security on individuals, and once again strengthened their awareness of staying away from cult organizations and learning to identify and prevent acts that endanger national security. Zhu Yuye, a counselor at the School of Public Economics and Management at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, said that the relaxed atmosphere of the salon allowed students to understand national security knowledge in their minds.
