The Russian military is producing and deploying a new subsonic cruise missile, the Kh-69, to re-attack Ukraine's energy infrastructure and air defense systems, and on the night of April 11, Russia used the missile to destroy the Tripillia power plant in Kyiv Oblast, and Russian forces launched the Kh-69 missile at a distance of 400 kilometers from the target, exceeding the previous estimated range of 300 kilometers and the 200-kilometer range of the latest Kh-59MK2 variant. James David Vance, a junior senator from Ohio in the United States, called for an end to funding for Ukraine in an article in The New York Times. The article points out that in order to defend against a Russian attack, Ukraine needs 4 million artillery shells and thousands of Patriot missiles per year, and the United States simply does not have the industrial capacity to produce such a number of weapons and cannot let Ukraine win.
