1. What is PET board?
Before explaining the PET board, let me tell you what is PET material, PET is polyethylene terephthalene, that is, in our daily life, mineral water bottles, plastic wrap, or edible oil packaging bottles, plastic boxes, etc., are all used PET materials, this PET material is safe and environmentally friendly, and there is no toxicity, will not produce toxic and harmful substances or gases, to meet the safety standards of food grade.
PET board, not that this board is made of PET material, the most important thing is the PET film on the surface of the substrate of this board, so what we usually say PET sheet is actually not a board, but a PET film skin with a thickness of 0.35-0.6mm. The thickness of the film skin is thinner imported and thicker in China.
There can be many kinds of substrates of the board, such as Osson board, MDF, particle board, multi-layer board, etc., among which this MDF is the best choice as the substrate, because the substrate it makes into PET board is the best flatness among all the boards. And it is often used for cabinet door panels.

PET sheets can be divided into two types according to the degree of glossiness of the surface, one is glossy and the other is matte.

The so-called anti-fingerprint means that we usually leave obvious fingerprint marks on the cabinet door after touching the cabinet door, which affects the appearance, but the PET film makes the fingerprints disappear instantly in a very short time. 1. Advantages of PET board
a. Good looks
The color difference of the cabinet door panel made of PET film is relatively small, and the color selection is rich and diverse, the common one is pure white, beige, or low gray, light coffee color, etc., and several popular styles such as cream style, high-grade gray style, second-hand style, minimalist style, etc., can be well integrated.
Moreover, it can also be perfectly matched and integrated with the more popular elements at present, such as wood grille, rock slab, microcement and other emerging materials. It has a very high appearance and aesthetic effect

PET sheet is a material that can be licked with the tongue, of course, it is not deliberately to lick with the tongue, this is just a popular statement about PET material.

PET film itself is a kind of resin material, because of the characteristics and properties of this resin material itself, it has created a very good and stable performance of PET film in terms of wear resistance and scratch resistance, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, yellowing resistance, compression resistance, high temperature resistance, etc.
From the perspective of factory processing, its physical properties are excellent, and there will be no problems of edge explosion, cracking and tooth burst during processing. It can maintain very good physical properties between -70~120°C.
It is also very stain resistant, the surface is easier to clean, easy to care for, and it is also an ideal material for kitchen cabinet door panels.
d. Smooth, delicate and comfortable to the touch
Matte PET sheets, also known as skin-like PET sheets, are smooth and delicate to the touch, and do not leave fingerprints, clean, neat and beautiful.
2. Disadvantages of PET board
Because the cost of PET is relatively high, usually many PET cabinet door panels on the market are made of melamine finishing paper on one side, and melamine finishing paper on the other side with a thin layer of PET film skin. Although the cost is saved, the tension on both sides of the plate is unbalanced, which can easily cause bulging and deformation. The best practice at the moment is to add PET film skin on both sides of the board.
On the other hand, PET sheets are also divided into imported and domestic, especially now more common, printed with LG logo on the board surface, this is a PET material imported from South Korea, the price is naturally relatively high, PET sheets made in South Korea are the best PET materials in the world today, Europe, America, Asia 70% are imported South Korean PET film materials.
At present, many domestic whole-house customization companies will use domestic PET sheets, but they use the logo of LG, so they increase the price and increase the selling point. If it is a genuine PET material imported from South Korea, the logo of LG and LX will be printed on the board surface at the same time.
03. Process details of PET board
Because the PET sheet is extruded by the base plate and the PET film skin through cold pressing equipment, and the PET film skin itself is also made of high-pressure extrusion of PET raw materials, because of this processing method, the PET film skin itself will not have any texture.
The common PET sheets are basically solid colors, and there are also stainless steel brushed, cloth texture, wood texture, leather texture or stone texture, etc., these textures or pattern effects can be printed on the PET film, not by themselves. The thickness of the common PET film skin is about 0.35-0.6mm.
