A big country is a big country, a small country is a small country, and a small country must not say something unrealistic on behalf of a big country.
The big countries here refer to the United States, Britain, Germany, and France, and the small countries here refer to the three Baltic states, especially Lithuania and Latvia. These countries constantly want to kidnap these great powers themselves. For example, on the issue of military aid to Ukraine, Latvia pointed out that Latvia will provide military aid of 0.25% of its total GDP every year. That is, to give 0.25% of its GDP to Ukraine as military aid, which is actually a security agreement signed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Latvian President.
But friends, as you know, what is Latvia's GDP every year? Only $40 billion, 0.25 percent of $40 billion, can have much money. So small countries want to kidnap big countries with their own assistance. How much does the United States provide military aid each year? The United States recently proposed that it would provide more than $60 billion, or even $100 billion, in military aid to Ukraine.
If you think about it, the total amount of military aid proposed by the United States and the European Union has exceeded the total GDP of Latvia and Lithuania, that is, from the perspective of these small countries, they hope to take a number and make a numbers game to kidnap these big countries.
Then the United States, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom are not stupid, they are very clear that it is called absolute numbers. What does the absolute number mean? That is, how much money can you afford to contribute in Lithuania and Latvia, whether it is $100 million, or $200 million, or how many dollars? But as far as these big countries are concerned, the money they contribute is real money, ranging from billions of dollars to tens of billions or even hundreds of billions of dollars.
As Latvia, Lithuania and other countries, it is completely futile to want to kidnap the big countries with their own promises. What do we need to emphasize to you? Small countries have completely failed to realize that they are small countries, and to take China's phrase "small countries", they hope to embody their own value in the international community, but this value is precarious and does not have the so-called international influence at all.
