——I would like to give this document to my lovely hometown Yiyuan

Text/Cui Weilong

In the north of my village, there was a county boundary stone tablet in a piece of land along the river in the east of the village. On the stele, "Mengyin County" is engraved in the south and "Yishui County" is engraved in the north. This is a boundary monument that existed before Yiyuan County was established in 1944 (Note: Yiyuan County was established in the border area of the original Yishui, Mengyin and Linqu counties).

Due to the county boundary, the land in my village is south of the Yi River. To the south of the village, not far away is Nanling, and beyond that is a hill much higher than it. The reason why it is called a small mountain is because there is a larger mountain in the distance, and no one has studied what it is specifically called. When I was a child, I heard adults say that there is a "Ermen Cave" on that mountain, which is a place for Taoist monks to cultivate immortals. Xiaoshanzi is the southernmost area of my village, and it is 8 miles away from the village. The height of the hill is more than 100 meters, there is cultivated land at the foot of the mountain, there are scattered terraces on it, and then the slope becomes larger again, and it is a "stone fence" with little soil and sparse grass. The shepherds flung their whips and shouted, and after the flocks passed, the grass was gnawed to the ground.

I remember when I was in elementary school, as soon as school got out of school in the afternoon, a few of our friends carried baskets and went to Nanling to collect firewood and cut grass, and some of them also learned to open stone slabs with stonemasons. The slate is a stone of little hardness, which can be washed along the texture and made into a small slate one or two centimeters thick and the size of a book, and a little ink can be applied to it, and after it is dry, you can write on it with a stone pen. At that time, paper was scarce, and exercise books were not used until the senior grades. Therefore, most of the homework assigned by the teacher in the classroom is done on the slate. After the homework was completed, the students held the stone slabs one by one for the teacher to correct. There were many students holding slates, and the teacher was not sure which student's slate would be picked up first, so he returned to the podium and corrected them on the teaching desk. So, the students started to line up from the podium. At the front, there is often a small pride.

Prior to third grade, the range of activities that parents were allowed after school was Southridge. If it's bigger, it's going to be bigger. On Sundays, you can climb the hill with the adults.

When I was in the fourth grade, I went to climb the hill for the first time on a Sunday at the turn of summer and autumn, and I was very excited. Follow the uncle, along the more and more rugged mountain road, step by step, step by step. From time to time, I look around and feel that the world is getting bigger and bigger. When I arrived at the terraced stage, I suddenly heard someone on the top of the mountain shouting: "Look at the stones below!" At this time, the uncle in front of me, while loudly scolding the naughty "bear child" above, took my hand and hurriedly hid in the terraced fields next to me. I saw the stones that had been tumbling down the hill through a steep slope and tumbling a few times in the terraces above us. After being severely reprimanded, the prank of the "bear child" is over. We keep climbing. Finally panting and climbing to the top of the mountain, "sweating profusely", "sweating" and other idioms commonly used in these compositions are the most appropriate to use at this moment!

On the top of the mountain, looking around, the mountains are stacked, and the skyline outlined by the blue sky and white clouds and nature in the distance is colorful. Scattered villages near and far, farmland with a bumper harvest in sight, and the Yi River winding east...... The beautiful scenery is refreshing, and I roared a few times, but before I could roar happily, the echo came! It was from the mountains to the west, how wonderful! No wonder someone shouted to the mountain song on the two mountains!

Uncle told me that our county was named after the meaning of "the birthplace of the Yi River". He pointed to the north and said: "Look, this is our village (east of Nanbu), north of the river is Beibu east and Gaozhuang, and further east is Nanma, the county seat; to the west of Xiling of our village is Taizhuang, and on the opposite side of the river of Taizhuang is Xiaobei Taizhuang; and the Yihe River is the source of the river more than ten miles up, and there are several small tributaries that converge there. ”

At that time, it was not very clear what a tributary was. After a few days, a few of our fellow students decided to explore.

We walked west along the river, and as we walked, some of us were thirsty. We dug a small pit by hand on the beach next to the river. After a while, a clear puddle of water. Lie down and take a few sips, sweet and thirst-quenching! Just wade up the water! The beach is long, the river is shallow, we go barefoot against the water, pulling up the waves. From time to time, small fish followed, scurrying to the ground, bending down and reaching out to catch it, but they couldn't catch it. Unconsciously, I came to the north of Taizhuang. Here, the river turns southwest. There are no bridges in the river, but there are some large rocks raised above the water, almost one step at a time, for people to step on to cross the river. The river is clear and clear, and the waves that flow through the rocks stir up waves, and the stones are covered with moss, rubbing against their feet, slippery, and soft. At first, we wanted to step on the rocks to cross the river, but when we saw that the river was not deep, we waded through the water and walked to the other side, planning to cross the river, go ashore and walk with shoes on foot to explore the source of the Yi River.

As he was walking, he heard someone shouting from behind, "Come back quickly! The so-called "drowning" refers to the deep water whirlpool that is prone to accidents. We hurried back to shore. The person who shouted, the teacher, said that he was going to sue our teacher. The most feared thing for the students is the teacher, and when he says this, we pull out our legs and run back. How far you have run, and look back, for fear that this teacher will catch up!

The river flows eastward, nourishing the land on both sides. When there is a drought, even the crops on the hills have to be watered by carrying water from the river. In order to build water conservancy, in 1958, the county mobilized 10,000 migrant workers to build a barrage dam in the Xiling River section. In this way, Taizhuang must be relocated. The superiors decided to build a new village to the west of Xiaoshanzi and named it Grange. As a result, the reservoir formed by the barrage dam was named Grange Reservoir.

The construction of the Tianzhuang Reservoir has taken several years, and I don't know how many builders' hardships have been condensed! Young and middle-aged migrant workers from all over the county have filled my village and several nearby villages. They were organized into regiments, battalions, and companies and lived in peasant households. During the day, they toiled the construction site: the wheelbarrow carrying the soil took the soil from the nearby hillside and shuttled between the dam and the hillside; the earth-filler lifter poured a basket of sand and soil on the gradually rising dam; the tamping workers pulled the tamping rope in groups of four, and threw and smashed the heavy stone rammers with the cheerful tamping trumpet; the reinforcing steel workers kept intercepting and binding, and the concrete workers mixed in strict accordance with the sand and ash ratio, scaffolding workers, carpenters, The bricklayers performed their own duties, and the labor competition between the companies was wave after wave, and the winning red flags fluttered on the opponent's construction site in turn, accompanied by cheers. People are all working hard and striving for the top, and the whole construction site is in full swing.

Of the three rooms in my house, two were vacated for seven or eight female migrant workers, and my mother told us to call them aunts. They were all seventeen or eighteen years old, and they finished work late in the evening and left for work before dawn in the morning. However, within a few days, an aunt was at home on vacation. At that time, I was young and ignorant, and I didn't know why my aunts were on vacation.

After the dam was completed, the reservoir area began to store water. After reaching the design storage level, a hydroelectric power station was built, and electric lights were installed in several of our nearby villages. Although sometimes the voltage is insufficient, the brightness will be almost a bit, after all, it has entered the threshold of electrification.

Tianzhuang Reservoir, with a storage capacity of more than 100 million cubic meters, ranks among the top three reservoirs in Linyi. A few years later, a Dongfeng fertilizer plant was built upstream of the reservoir to help the county harvest a bumper grain.

Overlooking the Grange Reservoir on a small hill, the wide water surface reflects the mountains, a beautiful picture!

After work, whenever I go home through the county seat and go to the ridge north of the Yi River, I will always look at the small hill in the south of the village. One time when I went home, I lived abroad one year after the last time, and the small mountain was unexpectedly changed! On the slope of the hill in front of me, a huge gap was carved out, forming a very high cliff. When I returned home, I inquired and learned that someone was mining stone. A good mountain, falling like this, it doesn't make people feel distressed!

quarried stone for construction. The stones made the reinforced concrete, and the buildings rose from the ground. In front of this big gap, the Qinglan Expressway was opened, and there was a special railway for the eastward transportation of Shanxi coal. These are inseparable from reinforced concrete.

Xiaoshanzi, you can't bear to give up a big gap, it turns out to be for the rise of emerging towns and the smooth flow of traffic arteries!
