A few days ago, foreign media exposed a set of test spy photos of Mercedes-Benz's new C-class pure electric version of the model. It is reported that the new model will make its overseas debut in early 2026 and is expected to go on sale in the first half of that year.
The exterior design adopts a new multi-layer structure, and the headlight cluster is added with a recessed design, which is matched with the lower amphora shape to create a unique sense of sportiness. The through-line layout is consistent with the all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA pure electric model, enhancing the sense of recognition and technology.
On the side, the body has sleek lines, while chrome trim strips are integrated around the windows, and the door handles are concealed to help reduce wind resistance and improve driving efficiency. The wheel arches have a more rounded design to complement the overall style.
At the rear, although the exact rear styling has not been revealed, it is expected to feature a new LED taillight cluster with a through-line layout to cater to the mainstream design.
In terms of intelligence and safety equipment, the new car will adopt the latest intelligent driving system. In addition, it is equipped with a variety of functions such as adaptive cruise, lane keeping, emergency braking, etc., which can provide comprehensive safety guarantees. It also has the ability to upgrade online through the air (OTA), which can periodically upgrade the software and add new functions to ensure that the vehicle is kept in the best condition. At the same time, the intelligent interconnection system can realize the seamless connection between the mobile phone and the car machine, providing a more intelligent car experience.
In terms of interior, it will be equipped with a large-size floating LCD central control screen and an integrated LCD co-pilot display, giving people a high-tech and luxurious atmosphere. In addition, the embedded LCD instrument cluster and the three-spoke multifunction steering wheel are not absent. The interior material may be wrapped in leather, which is more luxurious and comfortable than the BMW i3.
In terms of power, the new car will be built on the MB.EA-M platform and will be available in single-motor and dual-motor four-wheel drive versions. At the same time, silicon-carbon composites are used in the anode to increase the energy density from 550 Wh/l to 900 Wh/l. In addition, its entry-level model will also be adapted to lithium iron phosphate battery packs, so as to achieve the purpose of low price and stable supply.
It is reported that in the domestic market, the new model will be introduced by Beijing Benz, and the benchmark models in the same class include BMW i3, A4 pure electric version and Tesla Model 3 and other models.
