The three monsters of Che Chiguo have become one of the nine hundred and eighty-one difficulties on the road to learning scriptures in Journey to the West, and behind these tribulations are the layout of Heavenly Court and Leiyin Temple to test the Tang monks and apprentices.
In fact, for this ninety-nine-eighty-one difficulty, we can see it as a new miniature god list, which is a re-planning of the forces of Heavenly Court and Leiyin Temple.
Encroaching on the interests of Buddhism, Leiyin Temple can't bear it
The three monsters of Journey to the West, Che Chiguo, are undoubtedly intolerable to Leiyin Temple for the behavior of killing all the children of the Buddhist family. There is an original text in Journey to the West, although these three monsters have some Taoism, their cultivation has deviated from the right path and embarked on an evil path.
They oppressed the people and did evil, which also doomed them to the ultimate tragic end. There is a fragment in the text, and the Taoist priest laughed:
"Thou hast come from afar, and thou hast not known the things of my city. In my city, I don't want to say that the civil and military officials are good, the rich people and the elders love the virtuous, and the men and women see me and wait to ask for fasting,—— so they don't need to worry about it,—— the first class is long live the king's good way and love the virtuous. ”
The three great immortals of Che Chi Guo, the tiger, the sheep and the deer, deposed the Buddhism and respected the Taoists and took away all the original Buddhist incense, which is unacceptable to Buddhism.
Whether it is Heavenly Court or Leiyin Temple, the incense in the world is very important to them. Officially, this is an issue of freedom of religious belief and development, and more obscurely, it is an issue of the ownership of incense money.
You have transferred all the incense money to the Heavenly Court faction, and the Leiyin Temple will definitely be unwilling, so these three will inevitably be punished by the Leiyin Temple.
Although these three monsters are doing things for Heavenly Court, to be honest, they have also made a lot of contributions to Heavenly Court. These three monsters seem to be arrogant in the human world, but in fact, they can only communicate with a few members of the Heavenly Court Thunder Department, and let them help blow the wind and thunder and rain. Therefore, their backers in the Heavenly Court could not protect them when they were held accountable by the Lei Yin Temple.
This is a bit like when some temporary workers in some units in society have problems with their work, in order to face public opinion and the accountability of their superiors, temporary workers will be ruthlessly pushed out as outcasts. In the same way, the three monsters of Che Chiguo are the political victims of the wrestling negotiations between the forces of Heavenly Court and Leiyin Temple.
Lack of ability is also underestimated to the enemy
Although the three monsters of Che Chiguo have a good practice, they seem to be overconfident and arrogant in the fight with Tang monks and apprentices.
They gambled with Sun Wukong and others one after another, but they were all defeated in the hands of each other.
When Hu Li Daxian gambled with Sun Wukong to cut off his head, he was turned into a wolf dog by Sun Wukong and walked away, and finally died in his original form; Lu Li Daxian was killed by Sun Wukong when he was gambling with Sun Wukong to cut off his stomach and cut out his heart; Yang Li Daxian was naked and got out of the oil pot with Sun Wukong, and Sun Wukong found the Dragon King of the North Sea to break his "cold dragon" and finally died. Who is Sun Wukong? He was the Monkey King who made trouble in the Heavenly Palace, and 100,000 heavenly soldiers and generals couldn't help him. These three little monsters who only have a relationship with the Heavenly Court Thunder Department actually dare to fight without shame, they really don't know the height of the sky.
Let's not talk about Sun Wukong's seventy-two ability to change heaven and earth for the time being, let's just say that Sun Wukong's connections in the heavenly court embodied in this work are beyond the reach of these three monsters, not to mention that he is one of Tang Seng's disciples who are learning scriptures for the Western Heaven. As a representative figure of the Leiyin Temple, who in the Heavenly Court would not give him some face with such an identity? In contrast, the three monsters of Che Chiguo, who are little minions, can only be sacrificed.
The three immortals of Che Chi Country, Tiger, Sheep and Deer are not as capable as the four masters and apprentices who traveled westward, and they made the mistake of underestimating the enemy, so what awaits them can only be death.
The work is brought to life
The work "Journey to the West" was completed by Wu Chengen during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, and during the Jiajing period, a kind of Taoist atmosphere was formed in the society, and the Jiajing Emperor led the infinite respect for Taoism.
Emperor Jiajing believed in Taoism and liked to write green words, and even the quality of green words directly became an important reference criterion for the appointment of ministers. Several important ministers during the Jiajing period, such as Yan Song, Xu Jie, and others were all good at writing green words.
As a folk writer and artist, Wu Chengen is undoubtedly very dissatisfied with this social reality. Through the plot of Che Chiguo, he alluded to the Ming Dynasty's flood of Taoist beliefs during the Jiajing period, and at the same time implicitly expressed that the imperial court took the lead in believing in Taoism, which caused a huge burden to the people.
The plot of Che Chiguo in Journey to the West has a high artistic value, and behind the Monkey King and the Three Great Immortals is an artistic portrayal of the social situation during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty. Expressing reality through a literary work is an important reason why Wu Chengen's Journey to the West can be circulated for a hundred years and be evergreen.
