A few days ago, the list of 1,468 Chinese anti-Japanese aviation martyrs was announced for the first time. In the past few days, the Nanjing Anti-Japanese Aviation Martyrs Memorial Hall has continuously received calls or visits from the relatives of martyrs, media, and organizations from all over the country. As of April 9, 39 relatives of the martyrs had contacted the memorial for the first time. Two citizens said that their relatives had the same name as the announced martyrs, but due to the lack of information, it was impossible to confirm whether they were the same person, and hoped that the museum would help verify it. Four people who may have died in the anti-Japanese air war other than the 1,468 martyrs who have been registered were found. With the assistance of relatives and enthusiastic citizens, a total of 8 errors and omissions in the information of martyrs were found and verified, and they will be corrected in the future. In addition, they also received calls from the veterans' affairs departments, historical records departments, or the media in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Guangxi, Shandong, Fujian, Liaoning, Anhui, Hubei, Hunan, and Hainan to inquire about the martyrs' information or provide clues about the martyrs' descendants.

There are three relatives of the martyrs who hope to find the descendants of the martyrs who have lost contact with them through the media.

On April 8, the museum staff received Cui Xiangqun and his wife, relatives of martyr Chen Nai'an. Cui Xiangqun introduced that martyr Chen Nai'an is her mother's uncle, whose ancestral home is Wenling, Zhejiang. According to Jiang Wenhui's compilation of "A Brief Outline of the Township Sages of the Past Dynasties (Volume 1)" provided by Cui Xiangqun, it is recorded that Chen Nai'an is a native of Jiufen (now the former Jiufen Village). Naining, Zhu Ying brothers. During the Anti-Japanese War, he was an employee of China Airlines, and died in the Zhoushan Islands while transporting supplies, and was commended by the government of the Republic of China at that time. "When Nai'an was in distress, he directly rushed the nose of the plane to the Japanese base, and then rushed into the sea because of the bias. ”

There are also Mr. Ren's family, the nephew of martyr Ren Xian, who wants to find relatives. According to records, Ren Xian, a native of Deng County, Henan Province, was born on July 16, 1916. Graduated from the eighth class of the Air Force Officer School. He successively served as a member of the 29th Brigade of the 5th Air Force Brigade, a pilot of the 29th Squadron, and was promoted to the rank of lieutenant. He has participated in various air battles in Sichuan, Chengdu and Chongqing. On March 14, 1941, during a fierce battle with the enemy over Chongqing and Shuangliu, he was unfortunately hit by an enemy plane and died, and was posthumously awarded the captain. After Mr. Ren heard that the martyrs died, he left behind his wife and a daughter, Ren Rong. However, due to the war, contact has long been lost, and I hope that someone familiar with the matter will provide clues.

An article written by Zhou Yingxiong's nephew

In addition, Ms. Li Baoying, the niece of martyr Zhou Yingxiong, also provided a clue that Wei Wenhan, who was in the same phase of the Air Force Sergeant School as Zhou Yingxiong, may have also died, but he was not on the list announced this time. It is understood that among the relics of the martyrs received by the family that year, there was an aviation school ring engraved with Wei Wenhan's name. "Each cadet was issued with a ring to facilitate the identification of the body after the sacrifice. Wei Wenhan's ring is supposed to have been taken off the body at the scene of the death. Li Baoying said, "The staff may have confused the rings of the two when distributing the relics." Ms. Li hopes to find out whether Wei Wenhan died and find Wei Wenhan's descendants, hoping that those in the know will contact her.
