"The old house we live in has been damaged in many places due to disrepair, and it needs to be repaired urgently. One morning, Mr. Li, who lives in an old bungalow in Lane 115 of Tai'an Road, walked into the engineering department of Xinhua Property Company to ask for help.
The old bungalow in Lane 115 of Tai'an Road, built in 1948, is a 3-storey single-family garden house. In the early years, after Mr. Li moved out, his brother's family lived here. Since his younger brother and sister-in-law have been seriously ill in recent years, Mr. Li and his wife moved back to live with them at the end of last year, making it more convenient for them to take care of each other. But when he stepped into the old house that he hadn't lived in for many years, with its mottled walls and termite-eaten floors, he found that the home that was once full of memories was no longer livable.
When Ren Zhenyu, a staff member of Xinhua Property Engineering Department, and the maintenance personnel inspected the site, they found that due to the relatively old construction age, the paint on the internal walls of the houses had fallen off in a large area, and the walls were covered with mildew; walking on the stairs, the wooden floor was also corroded by termites, not only was it uneven, but there were also several cavities, and the residents used a wooden board to lay on it; the public parts were damaged by the lighting circuits, and there was no lighting equipment, and the light was not good when they entered during the day......
"Some small problems can be solved, but every day when I go up and down the stairs is very frightened, every step is cautious, for fear that one of them will accidentally fall. Mr. Li told reporters that not only is he old and his legs and feet are inconvenient, but his younger brother's family is also seriously ill, and the "fragile" floor has brought a lot of inconvenience to their daily travel.
Obviously, the damage to the house has had a great impact on the lives of residents, and the repair of the old bungalow is imminent. After Ren Zhenyu immediately consulted the relevant person in charge of Xinhua Property Company, he started the emergency maintenance procedure and submitted the repair project to the group for approval in a timely manner.
In order to repair as soon as possible and eliminate potential safety hazards, Xinhua Property Engineering Department actively organized maintenance forces, and only on the second day of Mr. Li's repair, the construction team was stationed in the house to carry out maintenance.
"Not only did I fix the staircase, paint the walls, rewire and install voice-activated lighting in the hallway, but I also helped me unblock the bathrooms and plumbing in the house. After learning the news of the completion of the restoration project, Mr. Li happily went to the old bungalow to check around.
