Lin Zhu was born in 1928 in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, where her father studied architecture.

At that time, Lin Huiyin was already in the advanced stage of tuberculosis, and at this time she was still busy with work, and she was able to find time to make up lessons for Lin Zhu, it can be said that Lin Huiyin was benevolent to Lin Zhu's father and daughter.
So in a sense, Lin Huiyin and Lin Zhu have a teacher-student relationship, and at this time, Lin Zhu was able to contact Liang Sicheng.
Before going to Beijing, Lin Zhu met her first husband Cheng Yingquan. Lin Zhu's father and Cheng Yingquan have similar interests, and as soon as they were happy, they promised Lin Zhu to Cheng Yingquan.
Later, Cheng Yingquan also married Lin Huiyin and Liang Sicheng, and the couple admired Cheng Yingquan very much, because Cheng Yingquan had a great architectural vision in urban planning and architectural thinking.
At that time, Cheng Yingquan was the head of the planning teaching and research group of the Department of Architecture of Tsinghua University, and was the right-hand man of Liang and Lin. Cheng Yingquan has just arrived, and Liang Sicheng often points out this junior, so in Cheng Yingquan's heart, Liang Sicheng is not only an admired leader and senior, but also his own mentor.
When Cheng Yingquan and Lin Zhu got married in the summer of 1949, Liang Sicheng was still their witness.
After marriage, Lin Zhu also relied on her husband's teaching at Tsinghua University to become a secretary of the Department of Architecture of Tsinghua University.
Soon, the two had a son and a daughter.
In this way, Lin Zhu and Cheng Yingquan's ten-year married life seemed harmonious and beautiful to outsiders, but soon, the problem appeared.
In 1957, Hua Lanhong and Chen Zhanxiang in the Department of Architecture were transferred out of the Beijing Architectural Design Institute, and Cheng Yingquan was classified as a rightist and imprisoned because he fought for them at the meeting.

Originally, Cheng Yingquan had a bright future, but this sudden accident caught everyone off guard, and many friends and family members were running to rescue Cheng Yingquan.

Maybe it was because he felt that there was no hope of rescue, or maybe he was demoted because of his husband, Lin Zhu ruthlessly filed for divorce from Cheng Yingquan.
When signing the divorce, Lin Zhu also said to Cheng Yingquan: "If you can take off the hat of 'rightist' within two years, we will remarry." ”
At that time, Lin Su still had two children, and if Lin Zhu was thinking about the future of the children, we have nothing to blame.

The second is that Cheng Yingquan, as an architect, has a lot of salary, and sometimes he can take on some translation work, and the money he earns allows his family to eat and wear.

But Lin Zhu did not allow his children to meet Cheng Yingquan, and if she knew about it, Lin Zhu would beat the children.
During that time, Cheng Yingquan saw that his children were all sneaky.
At that time, Lin Zhu was demoted to the archivist of the reference room, and was able to help Liang Sicheng organize the building materials after the loss of his wife.
It was during this time that some inexplicable feelings arose between the two.
One day in 1962, the two were reading Lin Huiyin's poems together, and read the sentence "Forget about shyness, I will turn my face and say a string of crazy words in front of you!"
As a result, the next day, Liang Sicheng wrote a "love letter" to Lin Zhu, and the signature was still "uncertain".
But Liang Sicheng didn't see Lin Zhu's reply, so he was worried about whether he scared her, so Liang Sicheng said: "I'm sorry, I don't write this kind of thing anymore......"
Unknowingly, Lin Zhu pounced on Liang Sicheng after he said this, and became painful.
After this experience, the two can be regarded as confirming the relationship.
This year, 34-year-old Lin Zhu and 61-year-old Liang Sicheng got married.
Ten years of married life, cold and warm

But after Liang Sicheng's death, Lin Zhu was left with only a small amount of cash.
