凄凄去亲爱, 泛泛入烟雾;

Return to Luoyang people, remnants of the bell Guangling tree.

Where will we meet today?

The world is on the boat, and you can live along the river.

[Modern Style: Farewell Diary - Farewell and Expectations on the Yangtze River]

Today, with a heavy heart, I bid farewell to my loved ones and embarked on a voyage to the misty smoke. I am the ship that returns to my heart like an arrow, full of thoughts of my homeland in Luoyang, and what remains in my ears is the aftersound of the bell next to the ancient tree of Guangling, which seems to travel through time and space, echoing in my heart for a long time.

Waving goodbye this time, I can't help but ask: Where will we meet again at some point in the future? The world is like a flat boat in the waves, undulating and drifting with the current, how can we predict which tranquil harbor we will dock in the next moment?

The journey of life is just like a boat on the Yangtze River, sometimes going straight downstream, sometimes going upstream, let the wind and waves push and push, it is difficult to rise and fall independently. We are all independent helmsmen on our respective ships, and although we can't preset the course, we can stick to our inner compass and move forward. Perhaps, it is this unpredictable twists and turns and variables that give the reunion endless possibilities and surprises.

At this moment, I record in my diary the sorrow of parting and the expectation of the unknown encounter. Life is like a rushing river, we can't stop its flow, but we can choose how to steer our own boat, how to enjoy the scenery along the way, how to cherish every docking and sailing. Even though the world is like a wave and it is difficult to determine the future, I firmly believe that at a certain corner of fate, we will meet again, and the smiles at that time will be brighter because of the reunion after a long absence.

Interpreted from a modern perspective, the poem becomes an inner monologue about parting and looking forward to reunion, which depicts the helplessness, contemplation and tenacity of individuals in the face of life changes, and at the same time conveys a deep expectation and positive attitude towards unknown fate.
