On April 9, Xinya Street, Huadu District, carried out a comprehensive emergency drill for heavy rainfall disasters in the flood season, and Yang Dezheng, member of the Party Working Committee and deputy director of Xinya Street, led the emergency management office, the working group of the river chief's office, the agricultural working group and the three prevention responsible persons of each village, disaster information officer and other personnel to participate in the drill, further improving the rapid disposal and actual combat ability of flood prevention and rescue, and building a solid safety line of flood prevention and preparedness.
This drill simulated the handling of critical situations in the jurisdiction due to the continuous heavy rainfall weather, such as river surges, old houses, and waterlogging points. With the sound of the alarm, all villages, relevant departments and emergency rescue teams responded quickly, closely cooperated and coordinated to carry out a number of subject drills, information reporting, and emergency response inspections such as river chong patrol embankment removal, emergency pumping and drainage at flood-prone points, and relocation and resettlement of flooded old houses.
Yang Dezheng made a summary and comment on the drill, and put forward requirements for doing a good job in the flood season; on the one hand, strengthen the reporting of early warning information and take preventive measures in advance. On the other hand, it is necessary to draw up a detailed emergency response plan and clearly define the responsibilities and tasks of various departments; at the same time, it is necessary to train relevant personnel to enhance their emergency response capabilities; in addition, it is necessary to ensure that communications are unimpeded so that information can be transmitted in a timely manner; it is necessary to strictly implement the 24-hour flood prevention duty system and implement various flood prevention mechanisms; and finally, it is necessary to publicize the knowledge of the three prevention measures to the public through various channels and enhance the public's awareness of prevention.
The relevant person in charge of Xinya Street said that the drill achieved the purpose of "testing the plan, running in the mechanism, exercising the team, and improving the ability". In the next step, Xinya Street will be based on "prevention" and "reality", further improve the emergency plan, complete materials and equipment, and effectively improve the flood prevention guarantee and safety of the whole street, so as to ensure that the critical moment "can be pulled, rushed, and won".
