On April 6th, the "Purple Milk Vetch Choir" New Book Sharing Meeting, which focused on children's spiritual growth and innovative writing, and discussed how the creation of contemporary children's literature can move towards breadth and depth, was held in Hangzhou Zhejiang Literature Museum. The event was guided by the Zhejiang Writers Association and co-sponsored by the Research Center for Contemporary Children's Literature (Zhejiang) and the 21st Century Publishing Group.

Created by young writer Wu Zhouxing, the work is based on the choir of a rural school in Ningbo, telling the story of a group of rural children under the leadership of a music teacher, finding themselves, healing their souls, and bravely chasing their dreams through music, presenting the richness and diversity of rural education and highlighting the positive and high-spirited spirit of rural children. Since its publication in July 2023, the work has been selected for the 2023 Theme Publishing Key Publications, the July 2023 China Good Books Monthly List and other honors. Fang Weiping, the host of the event and director of the Contemporary Children's Literature Research Center (Zhejiang), said, "As the first work sharing session since the establishment of the Contemporary Children's Literature Creation Research Center (Zhejiang), we specially selected the "Purple Milk Vetch Choir" by Wu Zhouxing, a young writer from Zhejiang. The work adopts an ingenious idea to tell the story, writing about the unique theme of art education. Wu Zhouxing has made a lot of preparations in the writing process, and this serious, down-to-earth and rigorous creative attitude is very admirable. ”

Na Yang, deputy director of the Creation and Research Department of the China Writers Association, said in his speech that a good theme publication must first be a work of art, and without a good art form, no matter how good the theme is, it will not be effective. The children portrayed in this "Milk Vetch Choir" are vivid and full, they are like the milk vetch flowers in the field, although they are small, they contain huge growth power, vivid and touching. The novel starts from the perspective of music education, with the help of children's natural affinity for music, so that they can overcome some difficulties and problems in their growth in the edification of art, with a unique perspective and novel structure, which enhances the artistic aesthetics and children's interest of the work. Based on the literary creation, research, publication and dissemination of Zhejiang Province, "Purple Milk Vetch Choir" is based on the true story of the children's choir of a rural primary school in Ningbo, telling the growth process of a group of children pursuing their dreams under the influence of music, showing the unique charm and educational influence of children's literature, and also reflecting the sense of responsibility and responsibility of young writers. They deeply analyzed the characteristics of "Milk Vetch Choir" in the depiction of characters, the innovation of narrative structure, and the texture of life details, and believed that the work skillfully integrates the beauty of nature and humanistic emotions with delicate brushstrokes to build a fresh and elegant rural picture. The milk vetch throughout the work not only gives the work a unique aesthetic image, but also makes the reader feel like being in the embrace of nature in the reading process, which fully embodies the innocence, warmth and romance that children's literature should have. The work focuses on the rural children's choir, and tells the same frequency resonance of children, schools, families and villages caused by the choir, and the writer does not stop at the one-way aesthetic education redemption of rural primary schools and children by music teachers from the city, but transcends the traditional binary opposition pattern, reveals the possibility of rural narrative transformation in the new era, and provides an extremely valuable aesthetic education sample for the current rural education.
