Blizzard issued an announcement on April 10, officially announcing that the eve of Cataclysm (Havoc and Rebirth) Nostalgia will be updated on May 2 (Asian time), and the official expansion will be available on May 21, 2024 at 6 a.m.
Cataclysm, also known as Earth's Fission, is one of the largest expansions in World of Warcraft history, introducing seven new regions, transforming the original landscapes of Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms continent, as well as introducing the Transmog system.
Blizzard also announced the update schedule for Cataclysm Nostalgia (the following is the US service time):
Cataclysm Pre-Installed Patch - April 30
Cataclysm is officially live - May 20th
Version 4.1: The Rise of Zandalar - July 2024
Version 4.2 Fury of Fire - October 2024
Version 4.3: Twilight Trial - January 2025
Cataclysm has the potential to be the shortest nostalgic expansion, as it only took 7 months between its release and the last major release, while Burning Crusade took 11 months and WotLK Lord's 16 months.
Although the overall evaluation of the history is average, there are still many fans who look forward to Cataclysm nostalgia, including the goblin and werewolf races, the transmog system system, etc. While the nostalgia suit has completely been stolen from the show by the Discovery Season suit, if Cataclysm goes well, we can expect to see Pandaren nostalgia in the future.
