In the first quarter of 2024, there will be 156 investment and financing events in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical fields, including 60 in January, 49 in February, and 47 in March, and the investment and financing events are decreasing month by month.

From the perspective of investment and financing rounds, investment and financing events in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical fields were mainly concentrated in Series A, with 37 investment and financing events, accounting for 23.7%. There were 22 strategic investment events, accounting for 14.1%. There were 19 B round investment and financing events, accounting for 12.2%. There were more than 10 Series C, seed investment, and PreA round investment and financing events, with 15, 14, and 14 respectively.

In the first quarter of 2024, the amount of investment and financing in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical fields is relatively high, mostly in the tens of millions of yuan and tens of thousands of dollars. Most of the investors are investment institutions or pharmaceutical companies such as Qiming Venture Capital and Shenzhen Capital Group.
