Recently, the "Hui Seed Future" 2024 Yantai Smart Fruit Industry Theme Publicity and Reporting Activity hosted by Yantai Agriculture and Rural Bureau entered Tongmao Ecological Park in Zhaoyuan City.
In the vast land of Biguo Town, Zhaoyuan City, Qin Haocheng, a young new farmer born after 95, is using his wisdom and sweat to write a moving entrepreneurial story of Yantai Apple.
Qin Haocheng, a young man who used to work hard in the city, resolutely returned to his hometown with his love for agriculture and attachment to his hometown, and began his road of entrepreneurship in the smart fruit industry. He is well aware that the traditional agricultural planting model has been difficult to adapt to the development needs of modern society, and must rely on scientific and technological innovation and modern management in order to achieve agricultural transformation and upgrading.
Under the leadership of Qin Haocheng, the park has not only made bold innovations in the selection of apple varieties, introduced more than 40 modern apple varieties of different colors and flavors, such as Venus Gold, Wang Lin, Mingyue, Tuqi, etc., but also cooperated with the Jiaodong Peninsula Fruit Industry Research Institute of the Institute of Pomology of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences to try to plant 33 new varieties such as Longfeng, Longguan, Huaqing, Huayue, Pingyou, etc., and is committed to screening out the characteristic varieties suitable for Zhaoyuan area.
In terms of facility construction and management, Tongmao Ecological Park also performs well. The park adopts the method of branching large seedlings to build a garden, which realizes the efficient production mode of hanging fruit in the second year and bumper yield in three years. In order to improve soil quality and maintain ecological balance, the park changed the tillage system to a grass system, and fertilized through soil testing and formulation, and customized fertilization plans according to soil conditions. At the beginning of the garden, 10 cubic meters of fermented organic fertilizer were applied per mu, and then 6 tons of organic fertilizer were applied every autumn, which combined with the use of organic fertilizer, which not only improved the organic matter content of the soil, but also helped to improve the taste and nutritional value of the fruit.
Through these advanced cultivation technologies and facilities, Tongmao Ecological Park is expected to achieve an average yield of more than 3,000 kilograms per mu during the peak fruit season, with a total output of more than 3 million kilograms and a total income of more than 18 million yuan. In addition, the park has also built 3,000 tons of fruit cold storage and two sorting workshops, providing strong support for the storage, sorting and packaging of fruits. At the same time, the cooperation with large supermarkets and high-quality e-commerce in Beijing, Shanghai and other places ensures the stable sales and brand building of products.
The smart orchard model of Tongmao Ecological Park not only improves agricultural production efficiency, but also provides new ideas and methods for farmers to increase income and sustainable agricultural development.
