Ubisoft Korea announced today that it will end operations on April 30 as part of a global restructuring process in response to the rapidly changing gaming market.
"Ubisoft Korea was founded as a small branch in 2002, when Korea was almost a barren land for single-player games," the official announcement reads. In the 22 years since, we have played a small but meaningful role in helping single-player games grow in the Korean market and for Korean fans to enjoy localized games and game culture. Looking back on all this, we feel infinite pride and happiness. At the same time, I would like to express my deep gratitude to all the Korean players who have walked this journey together and cheered us on. ”
Officials said that after Ubisoft Korea withdrew, it will continue to provide game operation services and marketing activities in South Korea.
