Fire extinguisher type

There are many types of fire extinguishers, which can be divided into portable type and trolley type according to their moving mode; according to the power source of driving the fire extinguishing agent, they can be divided into: gas cylinder type, pressure storage type, chemical reaction type; according to the filled fire extinguishing agent, it can be divided into: foam, dry powder, halide alkane, carbon dioxide, acid and alkali, water, etc. (We commonly use dry powder (BC and ABC two categories), carbon dioxide, 1211, foam fire extinguisher)

Types of fires and

Fire extinguishers are selected

Types of fires and fire extinguishers According to the nature of combustibles, there are five types of fires, and the fire extinguishers applicable to all types of fires are as follows: Class A, which refers to carbon-containing solid fires. Clean water fire extinguisher, foam fire extinguisher, ammonium phosphate dry powder fire extinguisher (ABC dry powder fire extinguisher) can be selected. Category B refers to fires with flammable liquids. Dry powder fire extinguisher (ABC dry powder fire extinguisher), carbon dioxide fire extinguisher, foam fire extinguisher is only suitable for oil fires, not for polar solvent fires. Category C refers to combustible gas fires. Dry chemical fire extinguisher (ABC dry chemical fire extinguisher) and carbon dioxide fire extinguisher are optional. The above three types of fires are generally equipped with ABC dry powder fire extinguishers, and the number of them can be determined according to the area of the parts. General hazardous premises are calculated as one body per 75 square meters, and the weight of each body is 4 kg. Comes in a group of 4 with an equipment rack. Dangerous areas or lightly dangerous areas can be increased or decreased appropriately. Category D refers to metal fires, there is no effective fire extinguisher at present, and sand can generally be used. Category E refers to a fire that burns with electricity. Dry chemical fire extinguisher (ABC dry chemical fire extinguisher) and carbon dioxide fire extinguisher are optional.

Usage

When using, hold the lifting ring of the fire extinguisher with your hand and lift it to the fire scene smoothly and quickly (do not carry it horizontally or horizontally). When extinguishing the fire, hold the ring with one hand and the bottom edge of the barrel with the other hand, turn the fire extinguisher upside down, shake it vigorously a few times (to prevent the fire extinguishing agent from solidifying or not mixing sufficiently), pull open the lead pin and safety ring, and then aim the nozzle at the fire source and press down the pressure handle to extinguish the fire.

Dry chemical fire extinguisher

01 Eligibility

It is suitable for extinguishing all kinds of flammable, combustible liquid and flammable and combustible gas fires and electrical equipment fires.

02 How to use

Hold the pressure handle with your right hand and the bottom of the fire extinguisher with your left hand, and gently remove the fire extinguisher. Carry a fire extinguisher to the scene in your right hand, remove the lead seal, and pull out the safety pin. Holding the nozzle in his left hand and the pressure handle in his right hand. At a distance of 2-3 meters from the fire source, press down the pressure handle with your right hand, swing the nozzle from side to side with your left hand, and spray dry powder to cover the entire combustion area.

03 Precautions

Fire extinguishers should be placed in a convenient, dry and ventilated place. Check whether the dry powder is agglomerated twice a year, and replace it in time if there is a clumping.

CO2 fire extinguisher

01 Eligibility

It is used for all kinds of flammable, combustible liquid and combustible gas fires, and can also extinguish the initial fire of instrumentation, books and archives, craftsmen and low-voltage equipment.

02 How to use

How to use: Hold the pressure handle in your hand and carry the fire extinguisher to the scene. Seal, unplug the safety pin. Stand 2-3 meters away from the fire source, hold the horn barrel in your left hand, and press down the pressure handle with your right hand. Spray at the root of the source of the fire and continue to push until the fire is extinguished.

03 Precautions

Fingers should not touch the mouth of the horn and metal parts to avoid frostbite. Carbon dioxide fire extinguishers should be inspected regularly, and should be inflated and replaced in time.

Foam fire extinguisher

01 Eligibility

It is suitable for extinguishing all kinds of oil fires, wood, fiber, rubber and other solid combustible fires.

02 How to use

Hold the pressure handle with your right hand and the bottom of the fire extinguisher with your left hand, and gently remove the fire extinguisher. Cover the nozzle with your right hand and hold the bottom edge of the barrel with your left hand. Turn the fire extinguisher upside down in a vertical position, shake it up and down a few times, and then release the nozzle. Grab the ear of the barrel with the right hand, grasp the edge of the bottom of the barrel with the left hand, the nozzle is facing the combustion zone, stand 2-3 meters away from the fire source and spray, and keep moving forward, surrounding the flame spray until the fire is extinguished. After extinguishing the fire, place the fire extinguisher on the ground with the nozzle facing down.

03 Precautions

Foam fire extinguishers should not be stored near high temperatures or places that may be exposed to the sun, and anti-freezing measures should be taken in winter to prevent freezing.

Precautions

1. Do not put the cover and bottom of the fire extinguisher against the human body to prevent the cover and bottom from popping out and hurting people.

2. Do not spray it with water at the same time, so as not to affect the fire extinguishing effect.

3. When extinguishing electrical fires, try to cut off the power supply first to prevent personnel from being electrocuted.

4. When extinguishing the fire, personnel should stand upwind. ABOUT 2-5M AWAY FROM THE FIRE SOURCE

5. The hand holding the spray cartridge should be held at the glue nozzle to prevent frostbite. (Carbon dioxide)

6. After indoor use, ventilation should be strengthened.

Precautions for common sense of firefighting:

It must be pointed out that after a fire occurs, the use of fire extinguishers to extinguish the initial fire in a timely manner is a powerful measure to avoid the spread and expansion of the fire and cause greater losses. At the same time, once a fire alarm is found, it should also be immediately reported to the fire department in time, and the fire extinguisher should never be expected to extinguish the fire without calling the fire brigade, because the fire extinguisher's extinguishing area and capacity are limited, and can only be adapted to extinguish the initial fire. After the fire breaks out, it generally spreads relatively quickly, delays the alarm time, delays the fire extinguishing fighter, and is bound to cause greater losses.
