According to the announcement, Thailand's Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Home Affairs and National Tourism Administration have stipulated that the "Maha Songkran World Water Festival 2024" will be held on Ratchadenen Road and Royal Field Square from April 11-15, 2024, and the opening ceremony will be held on April 11 on Ratchadenen Road.
In order to prevent traffic congestion and provide convenience for travelers, it was decided to close both roads during the above period.
In addition, it is understood that as the main "battlefield" of the Songkran Festival, Bangkok's Khao San Road, Silom Road and other road sections have also announced road closures.
