In July last year, Dongwang Road, which was widened and newly built on the basis of the original road, was officially put into use, and the "bottleneck" restricting industrial development was opened.
The newly built Dongwang Road runs through the core production area of the spicy industry in Huilong Town, connecting the three villages of Zhuzhai, Yanmiao and Gaozhuang. Before the roads were repaired, large trucks could not reach the fields at all, and had to rely on a large number of small trucks or tricycles to connect them.
"Now it is a 7-meter-wide road that leads directly to the entrance of the base, vehicles can directly enter the ground, and the goods can be pulled away at any time, and the transportation efficiency is greatly improved. Zhang Hongyang, a large pepper grower in Yanmiao Village, Huilong Town, Funan County, told reporters that after the road was repaired, the bumps in transportation were reduced, and the loss rate of their peppers was reduced from 7% to 2% now.
"Large vehicles can enter the ground, so that the same output of only half of the vehicle, directly reduce the transportation cost of the masses by more than 1.3 million yuan. In 2023, Funan County will invest 77.9 million yuan to improve the quality, maintenance, and security facilities of 418 kilometers of rural roads, and a number of happy well-off roads, industrial roads, and tourism roads will be put into use
"In 2024, we plan to invest 266 million yuan to implement 570 kilometers of rural road quality improvement projects, maintenance projects, and security facilities improvement projects, and build a new bridge, covering 28 towns and villages in the county, laying a solid transportation foundation for the county's rural revitalization and industrial economic development.
