Institutions that close in mid-to-late April
King's College London
King's College London (KCL) offers a 16-week language course for students who have already received an offer from the school. The course is designed to help students improve their academic reading and writing skills in English and meet the language requirements for their degree.
At the same time, the course will also focus on improving listening and speaking skills to ensure that students can clearly understand the lecture content and communicate effectively with their instructors and classmates in their future studies.
The 16-week language course is available in both online and offline learning modes, with the application deadline starting on April 16 and classes starting on April 29.

University of Southampton
The University of Southampton, which is popular with Chinese students, also offers 16-week language courses in both online and offline modes of study. The deadline for entries for the course is April 18, and the course will start on May 16 and run until September 5. It is worth mentioning that this language class can help students to close the gap of at least 1 point in the overall IELTS score.

University of Bristol;

The application deadline for KCL's 11-week offline language course mentioned above is about to close on May 1st, while the deadline for the 11-week online language course application is May 20th.
The application deadline for the 10-week in-person language course at the University of Edinburgh and the 10-week online and offline language course at the University of Manchester is set for May 6.
The University of Bristol's 10-week in-person language course has a slightly later application deadline than the online language course, set for May 7, while the six-week online language course closes on May 27.
The University of Glasgow is also currently open for applications for the 10-week language course for June intake, with a deadline of 10 May, which will start on 17 June and end on 23 August.

Language courses at Durham University are all delivered in person, and the deadline for applications for a 10-week course is 20 May.
The deadline for the 11-week dual-mode language course at the University of Southampton is 23 May, while the 10-week online language course at the University of Nottingham ends on the same day, while the in-person course ends on 30 May.

The University of Leeds' 10-week face-to-face language course for master's degrees closed on 2 June, while the six-week course closed on 23 June.

Applications for the 6-week in-person course at the University of Edinburgh, the 6-week (online & offline) language course at the University of Manchester, and the 6-week in-person language course at KCL will all close on 3 June.
The University of Southampton's 6-week online and offline language courses were closed on 13 June, and the last 6-week online language courses available to KCL on the same day were also closed.
The University of Birmingham's six-week online language course will close on 14 June, while the application deadline for the same in-person course will be extended to 21 June.
On the same day, the last batch of language courses at the University of Glasgow also closed on June 14
Applications for the six-week in-person language course at Durham University and the University of Warwick will close on 17 June.

As of July, there are very few places available for language courses at the top 100 universities, and the University of Birmingham's four-week offline language course is only open to students who are admitted unconditionally, and the application deadline is July 12.

How do I apply for a language course?
To apply for a language course, students first need to be offered conditional admission, i.e. meet the academic requirements but do not meet the language criteria for direct entry. At the same time, students can apply for a language course if they already have a language score that meets the minimum entry requirements for the language course.
So how do we assess whether we need to sign up for a language class?
This depends on the student's own English language proficiency and the specific language requirements of the target master's programme. Even if a student's English proficiency meets the minimum entry criteria, they may consider enrolling in a language course if they wish to further improve their language skills to better adapt to an English-taught environment.
