Finally came to Yunnan, who knew that when the leader led the tribe to move south into Ailao Mountain, he strayed into the primeval forest and got lost. The head man sent people out to find a way out many times, but to no avail. Just when the head man was struggling with how to solve the problem of survival, he suddenly saw a white bird flying overhead, making a chirping sound, a bit like greeting himself. The leader didn't pay much attention, and the white pheasant flew in one direction, screaming as if to keep them along. But the head man was distressed and paid no attention to the white pheasant. After a while, the white bird flew back and called again in the same way. At this time, the leader looked at the white pheasant curiously and found that it seemed to be guiding itself. So he took the tribesmen to follow, and in this way, the Hani people climbed over the three mountains in the song of the white pheasant, and finally walked out of the primeval forest. Since then, the white pheasant has become the totem beast of the Hani tribe and is worshipped.

What is the importance of protecting wildlife?

Protecting wildlife is to protect human beings, and wild animals are an important part of the natural ecosystem and an important part of maintaining the balance of the ecosystem. Many wild animals such as frogs, snakes, birds, etc. prey on pests and rodents, protect agricultural and forestry plants, reduce the damage of pesticides to the environment, and killing wild animals will cause a sharp decrease in the number of species or even extinction, so that the ecosystem is destroyed, and eventually lead to environmental degradation and abnormal climate. Human production and life must rely on the natural environment to provide resources, and the destruction of the natural environment will inevitably endanger the survival and development of human beings. Therefore, if you find that a wild animal is injured or in distress, please contact the local forestry and grassland department, forest public security organ, and wildlife rescue agency in time, and the relevant departments will carry out wildlife shelter and rescue on the spot and nearby.
