On my 23rd birthday, I sat alone at home, watching the sunset outside the window, and memories welled up in my heart. Since I was a child, my parents had high hopes for my future, and they wanted me to be admitted to a prestigious school and have a decent job. However, at the critical moment of the college entrance examination, the nervousness made me abnormal, and I could only enter an ordinary university in the end. My parents were disappointed in me, and I felt inferior. The father was an ordinary civil servant, worked diligently and was responsible for the family. My mother, on the other hand, was a traditional housewife who devoted all her heart and soul to me. They wanted me to change the status quo of the family, but my performance disappointed them again and again, and the family atmosphere became oppressive. On my 23rd birthday, a few friends threw me a small party and gave me some small gifts, and we got together at home. Their words poked at the most painful place in my heart, and I began to be confused. Soon after, I received interviews from several companies, and although I was nervous, I worked hard to prepare, and during the interview, I persevered until I finally received an offer from the company I wanted. However, while I was rejoicing in finding my dream job, there was a violent quarrel in the family, and my parents did not understand my choice, which plunged me into pain. I began to reflect on my life and decided to leave my hometown and go abroad. After a sudden car accident, I strengthened my resolve and began to prepare for a new life. After leaving my hometown, I found a new job, and although it was grassroots, I was very excited. A few years later, I was unexpectedly given an important promotion, which was a great affirmation for me. Since then, my career has skyrocketed, and I have worked hard for it to achieve success.
