The No. 1 flood of the year occurred in Beijiang, Guangdong, and many hydrological stations exceeded the alert water level. Affected by the floods, more than 400 ships were stranded near the Sixianjiao River section of Sanshui.

On April 8, the Qingyuan Branch of the Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Hydrology reported that the flood peak of the No. 1 flood in Beijiang in 2024 had a peak water level of 8.61 meters at Shijiao Station at 1 a.m. on the 8th, with a corresponding flow of 12,800 cubic meters per second, which is more than once in five years.

The latest news, at around 3 pm on the 8th, ships near the Sixianjiao River Basin in Beijiang resumed traffic one after another.
