On April 10th, Redmi's first work in the new decade and new series, Turbo3, will be officially released, and Wang Teng, general manager of the Redmi brand, said that the K series continues to expand to the high-end, and the goal of the new Turbo series is to be the strongest performance machine in the mid-range to serve more young users.

Before Redmi Turbo3, Redmi released two products, Note 11T and Note 12 Turbo, and Turbo3 inherited the successful experience of these two generations of products in terms of product definition and technology accumulation, so it is called "Turbo3".

In terms of core configuration, Redmi Turbo3 will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, equipped with up to 16GB+1TB large storage, as well as furious engine 3.0 and 4800m㎡ ice circulating cold pump blessing.

From the perspective of product positioning, this is a mid-range machine product that focuses on extreme performance. Redmi is obviously also very confident in the configuration of this new machine, and before the product is released, the ban on performance tests has been lifted in advance.

IT Home also got this new machine, and then I will briefly share the actual test with readers and friends around the performance part.

Last month, Qualcomm released the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip (SM8635) last month, followed by the Xiaomi Civi4 Pro bringing the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 debut.

The Redmi Turbo 3 is the second phone to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip.

In terms of specifications, the Snapdragon 8s Gen3 uses TSMC's 4nm process, the CPU consists of 1 x X4 core at 3GHz + 4 x A720 core at 2.8GHz + 3 x A520 core at 2GHz, and the GPU is Adreno 735.

For comparison, the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 is built on TSMC's 4nm process, the CPU consists of 1 x X4 core at 3.3GHz + 3 x A720 cores at 3.15GHz + 2 x A720 core at 2.96GHz + 2 x A520 core at 2.26GHz, and the GPU is Adreno 750.

In terms of specs, the biggest difference between the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is that the former has one less big core, and the big core and energy-efficient core frequencies are lower than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. But fortunately, it still inherits the same CPU architecture as the third-generation Snapdragon 8 flagship platform, and also inherits the GPU architecture of the second-generation Snapdragon 8 flagship platform.

From this point of view, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip focuses on strong performance and affordable price, which is more cost-effective than the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

It is undoubtedly a wise and suitable choice for mid-range mobile phone products.

In the test session, IT Home simply tested the performance of the Redmi Turbo3 equipped with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 through Antutu, Geekbench and other running software.

First of all, the Geekbench5 benchmark score, the Redmi Turbo3 scored 1488 points for single-core and 4714 points for multi-core.

Judging from the comparison in the figure below, the single-core performance of the Redmi Turbo3 has surpassed that of some Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phones, and the multi-core performance is also very close.

In the Geekbench6 test, the Redmi Turbo3 scored 1995 points for single core and 5349 points for multi-core.

This is already very close to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phone. For comparison, the scores of the latter are around 2000 and 5500, respectively.

In the Antutu running score, Redmi Turbo3 scored 1.62 million + points. For comparison, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 phone score is around 1.6 million, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phone score is around 2 million.

Judging from the running score data, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 carried by the Redmi Turbo3, although there is only one "S" difference from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, there is still a certain gap in performance. However, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is already approaching the level of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. You know, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is the previous generation of Snapdragon flagships.

It's quite rare for a mid-range machine to have such a level of performance.

In the 3D Mark test, the Redmi Turbo3 scored 11729 points at 70.20fps. In 20 rounds of heavy stress testing, it achieved a stability of 76.8%, and the performance release was also outstanding.

Now that we've tested the performance, let's take a look at the game's performance.

Here we select the most representative "Genshin Impact", turn on the highest image quality, 60 frames, choose Sumeru City to run the map, meet monsters and fight monsters, turn on the phone's furious mode, and the test time is 30 minutes.

The final result is as follows:

In the 30-minute test, the Redmi Turbo3 averaged 59.71fps and consumed an average of 5.4W.

In the game, the maximum temperature of the body is around 42°C, which is located in the camera area.

From the perspective of gaming experience, Redmi Turbo3 can easily cope with the highest quality Genshin Impact games, even in the face of heavy load scenarios such as Sumeru City, the frame rate will not fluctuate much.

At the same time, in the process of running the map, it is basically stable at 60 frames, and occasionally there will be frame rate fluctuations when fighting monsters, but the frame drops are basically invisible to the naked eye.

In addition, Redmi Turbo3 also supports Genshin Impact's 1.5K game super-resolution, which can be turned on via the GameTurbo menu in the upper left corner - Berserk Mode - Super Resolution.

After turning on the figure below, the image quality of the edges of the characters is obviously sharper, and it looks more detailed and clear, which is still very obvious for high-quality games.

Summary:

Redmi Turbo3 can be said to be an extreme mid-range performance cannon, Snapdragon 8s Gen3 blessing, so that it has a performance level comparable to that of a flagship machine, whether it is a running score or game performance, it is remarkable in this gear.

This also makes the author very curious about the pricing of Redmi Turbo3, but after all, it is produced by Redmi, and I believe it will not disappoint readers and friends.

Spend a little to do big things, and the Redmi Turbo3 is such a product.
