I. Preface
This soldering iron is usually used to solder jumpers on circuit boards. Very easy to use. The temperature rises quickly, too. However, it is not designed to automatically power off. I sometimes forget to turn off the soldering iron, which leaves the tip at high temperatures for a long time. Shortens the service life of the soldering iron tip. Next, we are going to install an infrared photoelectric sensor next to the soldering iron socket to detect whether the soldering iron is inserted into the socket to realize the function of automatic power off.
2. Circuit design
This is the design of the photoelectric probe, which was previously used in the electronic cone barrel of the smart car competition. It is actually an infrared transmitting and receiving circuit. This circuit is used below to detect if the soldering iron is put back into the socket.

Design control circuits. It is based on F103 microcontroller as the core. The soldering iron working power supply is controlled by the relay. The infrared sensor is connected to the circuit through the PIR port. The IO of five microcontrollers is used to provide the operating current for the infrared sensor. The heartbeat is input to the analog port. A buzzer indicates the working status. There is also a push-button interface. Design a single-sided PCB and get the test board in one minute. The board is perfectly made.

3. Software debugging
Place the photocell next to the soldering iron socket and fix it with AB glue. When the soldering iron is removed, the heating process can be started. When the soldering iron is put back, there is a two-second delay for the control box to turn off the soldering iron.
