(Note: This article was written in October 2015) Brother Zhengying and I have only known each other for five or six years, and I know that he likes to write poems and couplets, and he writes well. From time to time, we talked about poetry and Taoism together, exchanging experiences, and in a sense, it was he and Brother Man Liang and others who led me to this path, so I have long been grateful to Brother Li.
Not long ago, when he brought a thick stack of poems and manuscripts to me to write a preface for him, I was really a little dazed or honestly afraid, knowing that I was really not worthy of his masterpiece, and then my writing level was not good, but I was afraid that it would be disrespectful not to write. Anyway, since my brother is exalted, why let him down, I will do my best.
I have seen Brother Zhengying's poem "Voice of the Heart", and I feel that it is worthy of the name, and it is from the bottom of my heart. His life is simple, ordinary, and full of hardships, but there are extraordinary deeds and highlights everywhere. In the rural areas, he deeply loved nature and the mountains and rivers of his hometown; in the barracks, he endured hardships and tempered himself, and won the praise of his chiefs and his comrades-in-arms; and in the localities, he was active and willing to work, proficient in business, and willing to make contributions. After retiring, he was obsessed with poetry and made friends with poetry, and had a certain influence in Huaxian County and Weinan City. His poems have won gold medals twice in the National Poetry Contest for the Elderly, and his couplets have been selected as the annual pinnacle of the China Couplet Association's "Couplet China" for several consecutive years, and several poems have been included in the "Weinan Poetry Collection" this year. It can be said that Brother Zhengying has made great contributions to the development and growth of the Huaxian Poetry Federation team and the improvement of the creative level.
"Voices of the Heart" is divided into six chapters, describing his own work and life in the countryside, military camps, units, and later years from six aspects, the first of which is a meticulous work. It can be said that the sections are clear and interdependent, from which we can see his deep affection for the motherland, hometown, army, and locality, and his deep understanding of life and society.
Gu Yun's "Poetry and Words", "Voice of the Heart" aptly shows Brother Li's social outlook, outlook on life, moral outlook and other orientations. In "Voices of the Heart", he wrote that the society "is full of green mountains and green, and Shenzhou is full of color and new at all times", and wrote that life "but when I see the sky is clear, I hope that the sunset is red", etc., every word is true and true. To be honest, he was a high school student in the Cultural Revolution, and he didn't have much ink in his stomach, but through the reading of his "Voice of the Heart", he had another feeling, he used elegant words, quoted classics, and was refined to the truth, which is difficult for people with deep literary skills, which also shows that Brother Li usually has worked hard in reading, observing, experiencing, and creating, and has paid a lot of effort. As he himself said, "How can you know the beauty of humanity without reciting, and you can't see the beauty of the mountains and rivers", it can be seen that time has sharpened people, and kung fu has achieved concentration, and Brother Zhengying's "Voice of the Heart" also confirms this.
Writing here, I also want to say that "Voice of the Heart" is really a product of the times, and it is the times that have endowed him with great spiritual strength and material factors. In recent years, the team of Huaxian Poetry Federation has grown rapidly and improved rapidly, and many excellent poetry collections have come out one after another, such as "Pancakes to Mend the Sky", "Huazhou New Rhyme", "Black Pottery", "Difficult Life" and so on. Huazhou has been known for its culture since ancient times, and in the face of the excellent situation of reform and opening up and the prosperity of literature and art, the advent of "Voice of the Heart" is logical.
Here, the author would like to hope that Huazhou culture, especially Huazhou Poetry Union, has deep roots and lush leaves, strong trees and abundant fruits, which will continue to add strength and color to Huaxian County and even Sanqin culture.
