Chen Changyu, 23 years old this year, was born in an unhappy family.

Just as the mother and son were enjoying a relaxed and comfortable life, Yu Xiuying fell ill due to overwork and did not adapt to the weather in Guangdong.
After thinking about it repeatedly, Yu Xiuying decided to go back, and Chen Changyu also respected her mother's decision.
He never imagined that this decision would cost his mother his life, and at the same time make him regret it for the rest of his life.
One day in March 2021, a nervous Chen Changyu received a call in the middle of the night: his parents were burned and should return quickly.
He hurried back to his hometown and met his mother, who had been badly burned, in the hospital.
"About 55% of the body surface burns were made, and multiple gasoline burns on the face, neck, torso, and limbs were caused for 6 hours. ”
The mother's face was black, her lips were burned, and her whole body was wrapped in gauze, and she couldn't see what she used to be.
But she is still covering up for her father: "I helped your father fill up gasoline on his motorcycle, he accidentally lit a cigarette, and his injuries were more serious." ”
In fact, Chen Jiwei only injured his hands, legs and stomach, and his injuries were much lighter than his wife's.
His mother's family secretly told Chen Changyu that the fire was set by Chen Jiwei, and he poured gasoline on Yu Xiuying and lit a lighter.

The father had to pay for his life
In July 2021, Chen Changyu was still raising money in Guangzhou, and Yu Xiuying, who was recuperating at home, suddenly suffered severe pain and her wound was bleeding.
After being sent to the hospital by her family, Yu Xiuying was not rescued and left this world.
The cause of death was: infectious poisoning from burns, death from shock.
This year, she was only 40 years old.
Before his mother died, Chen Changyu thought about letting his father go to prison to atone for his sins, but after his mother died, Chen Changyu only had one thought left, that is: Chen Jiwei must die.
After others, he no longer called Chen Jiwei "Dad", and even felt ashamed of having the other party's blood on his body.
Three months after his mother's death, Chen Changyu still did not bury his mother because he had been waiting for the results of the autopsy at the police station.
Only after the autopsy results are available can it be determined whether the conditions for filing a case of "intentional injury" are met.
The medical examiner told Chen Changyu that her mother's death was a relief for her personally, because the injuries were too severe and painful.
These words made Chen Changyu burst into tears, and he couldn't imagine what kind of torture his mother had experienced before she died. And all this was caused by Chen Jiwei.
His mother died, but Chen Jiwei was still alive.
When his wife was hospitalized, he did not pay a penny for medical expenses, let alone visit him once. After the death of his wife, he was not punished by the law, and even began to transfer his property, spreading the remarks that "it was Yu Xiuying who poured gasoline on the fire" everywhere.
In order to bring this "mother-killing enemy" to justice, Chen Changyu asked for help in many ways and opened Weibo to expose his father's criminal behavior.

On October 22, 2021, the police opened a case against Chen Jiwei on suspicion of intentional injury causing death and took compulsory measures.
Soon, the Qujing Municipal People's Procuratorate prosecuted Chen Jiwei.
In order for Chen Jiwei to get the punishment he deserved, Chen Changyu had to stand on the opposite side of the entire Chen clan.
At the beginning, when Chen Changyu took reporters home to confront Chen Jiwei, most of the villagers said: "I don't know about other people's affairs." Several aunts of the family simply said bluntly to reporters: This kid (Chen Changyu) just wants to do something.
After his father was arrested, his grandmother, uncle, aunt and others pointed at his nose and scolded him, and forced him to issue a letter of understanding for his father.
Chen Changyu refused, which also made him a "traitor" to the Chen family.
When the people in the same village saw him, they all had the same attitude as Chen Jiwei: You doll, you are too ignorant.
Even some relatives on his mother's side did not support Chen Changyu's approach.

On December 16, 2022, Chen Jiwei was sentenced to death for intentional homicide in the first instance.

However, Chen Jiwei was not satisfied with the verdict and appealed.
On February 1, 2024, the Yunnan Provincial High People's Court pronounced the second-instance verdict and upheld the death sentence of the defendant Chen Jiwei.

Chen Changyu's mother, who loves Chen Changyu the most, has left this world, but Chen Changyu will live well with his mother's love and blessings.
As for his father, Chen Jiwei, Chen Changyu said that he would not see him again before the execution of the death sentence.
