In recent years, with the rapid growth of the demand for cold chain logistics from end users, fresh e-commerce and catering industries, China's light commercial refrigeration industry has developed rapidly, but at the same time of rapid development, the deep-seated contradictions that have been accumulating are also accelerating. Cyclical and structural problems coexist, and the mainland's light commercial refrigeration industry is undergoing multiple tests.
In order to record and summarize the development of the light commercial refrigeration industry and technology in mainland China and guide the development direction, since 2020, led by the Collaborative Innovation Center of the Light Commercial Refrigeration (Air Conditioning) Industry of the Chinese Society of Refrigeration, relevant industrial research institutions, colleges and universities, and mainstream enterprises have been organized to jointly compile the "Blue Book of China's Light Commercial Refrigeration Industry and Technology Development" every year, which has been affirmed by industry insiders.
The "2023 Blue Book of China's Light Commercial Refrigeration Industry and Technology Development" is jointly compiled by the Chinese Society of Refrigeration, Tianjin University of Commerce, Xi'an Jiaotong University, National Commercial Refrigeration Equipment Quality Inspection and Testing Center, Industry Online, COFCO Engineering Testing and Certification Co., Ltd., and Changhong Huayi Compressor Co., Ltd., and is scheduled to be released during the China Refrigeration Exhibition on the morning of April 9, 2024. 1. Overview of the exhibition
With the theme of "Digital Intelligence Empowering the Track, Stabilizing the Foundation and Strengthening the Chain to Promote Win-Win", the 2024 China Refrigeration Exhibition will set up 8 exhibition halls with a total exhibition area of 106,800 square meters, a total of 1,006 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions around the world, 36 overseas professional organizations to attend related activities, and many well-known brands in the industry will bring the latest products, technologies and solutions to the exhibition.

II. Forum Meetings
The Organizing Committee of China Refrigeration Exhibition closely follows the pulse of the development of the industry, and will hold 1 theme forum, 38 special seminars and 20 technical exchange meetings during the 2024 China Refrigeration Exhibition, inviting well-known industry experts and enterprise technical representatives at home and abroad to fully interpret the latest policies, regulations and technological development trends of the industry, and a number of academic research results will be released during the exhibition.

3. Demonstration area and professional audience observation group
This year's exhibition will set up a number of demonstration areas on site to showcase the latest achievements in subdivided fields. Among them, the industry-university integration roadshow demonstration area made its debut at the China Refrigeration Exhibition, setting up two major sections, "excellent cases of transformation of scientific and technological achievements" and "technology roadshow", attracting many high-quality projects cooperated by universities and enterprises to participate in the display, 87 projects of universities and research institutes were exhibited in the form of posters and 45 of them were selected to organize lectures for enterprises.
The Ozone Climate Technology Roadshow Zone, jointly created by the Organizing Committee of China Refrigeration Exhibition and relevant international organizations and government departments, contributes to global climate governance and ozone layer protection. In addition, the Organizing Committee of China Refrigeration Exhibition will continue to organize a number of professional audience groups such as the General Engineer Group of the National Design Institute and the Refrigeration and Refrigeration Industry Observation Group to participate in the exhibition, strengthen in-depth exchanges with exhibitors, and provide in-depth services for exhibitors.

The Organizing Committee of China Refrigeration Exhibition has organized the "Innovative Products" selection activity for 15 consecutive years. In 2024, after two rounds of strict evaluation by the expert committee, a total of 54 products will be awarded the title of "innovative products".
The organizing committee will continue to organize the 2024 China Refrigeration Exhibition "Gold Award Product" selection activities, and the expert committee will conduct on-site surveys during the exhibition, based on "innovative products" and combined with some new discoveries, to select one of the most representative products from each of the nine fields of "innovative products" as the "Gold Award Product". If possible, the panel of judges will also select a "Product of the Year" from the "Gold Award Products". (Vacancies are allowed for both "Gold Product" and "Product of the Year.") )
