Hello~ Hello everyone, I am Olivia, the tutor of the Department of Zero Innovation Space, and I graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in the United States.

He worked as an architect and interior designer at the well-known architectural firms "Gensler" and "Sasaki" in the United States. The ideal is to be a diagonal youth, I am a man with a lot of ideas, more whimsical Aquarius + INFP.

My favorite designer is Thomas Heatherwick!

He is known as "Britain's most creative genius of our time". When I was working and living in New York, I often went to The Vessel, which he designed. He's a cool and fun designer.

I usually like digital art when I am resting, hahahahaha~ Creating a dreamy space in digital art is actually very similar to making a portfolio.

2. Professional interpretation

Q:

So what do you think of your profession?

A:

My major is interior architecture, which is more architectural.

In my opinion, the professional boundaries between interior and architecture are not very obvious, and when I communicate with students, I will tell them that interior and architecture belong to space, but the scale is different.

When students are working on projects, they should also try to think more about interior design with spatial thinking, rather than "interior decoration".

Q:

I would like to recommend some good colleges and universities for this major~

A:

[UK direction]

Indoor: Imperial Art, Lun Art

Buildings: UCL, AA, Sheffield

【U.S.-Direction】

室内:RISD、Pratt

Architecture: Harvard, Penn

One of the most recommended has to be RISD!, my alma mater.

Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), founded in 1877, is a world-class design school integrating art and design disciplines.

RISD's Master of Architecture program is taught in a way that understands the practice of design and fabrication, a deliberate, reflective process that generates and draws on social, political, material, technological and cultural agendas.

Allowing graduate students to take on the role of cultural creators enables them to be creative and position their work in the discipline of architecture.

3. Apply for cheats

Q:

What do you think should be reflected in the portfolio in the application for this major?

A:

"Fun is the first productive force", no matter what the profession is, fun is really important.

I highly encourage every student to find the "point" that they like to be interested in and interesting, and then develop the possibilities of spatial design from there.

Are there any good results for your students?

A:

Many students have achieved good results, such as UCL, AA, UAL, ECA, Sheffield, RISD, Pratt, Columbia, Penn and other colleges and universities have received offers~

Q:

What is the employment method after graduating from this program?

A:

You can go to the design institute (but not very recommended). It's best to choose a foreign design firm, and work-life balance is important. If you are ambitious, you can become an independent designer or set up a small studio.
